  • Maple Leafs' Luke Haymes: Inks deal with Toronto

Haymes signed a two-year contract with the Maple Leafs on Monday.

Haymes' contract will take effect in 2025-26. In the meantime, the left-shot center will link up with AHL Toronto on an amateur tryout for the remainder of the campaign. The 21-year-old generated 12 goals and 18 points across 22 games with Dartmouth College in the NCAA in 2024-25.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Tough-luck loss to Preds

Woll made 27 saves on 31 shots in a 5-2 loss to Nashville on Saturday. The fifth goal was an empty-netter.

The Leafs got off to a hot start and went up 2-0 early, but the Predators rallied with five unanswered goals to claim the win. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Woll. Toronto remains tied with the Panthers for first place in the Atlantic Division with 87 points. Woll and Anthony Stolarz will probably continue to share time in the crease down the stretch, and Woll should be started by fantasy managers when it's his turn to play.

  • Maple Leafs' John Tavares: Three-game, five-point streak

Tavares scored a goal in a 5-2 loss to Nashville on Saturday.

He fired a wrist shot from the slot on the power play. It was Tavares' 30th goal of the season. He's the fifth player in Leafs history to put up a 30-goal season at age 34 or older, joining Mats Sundin (32 in 2007-08 and 31 in 2005-06), Mike Gartner (35 in 1995-96), Norm Ullman (34 in 1970-71) and Alexander Mogilny (33 in 2022-23), according to Robby Stanley of NHL.com. Tavares is on a three-game, five-point scoring streak that includes three goals.

  • Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews: Seven points in last five games

Matthews delivered two assists Saturday in a 5-2 loss to the Predators.

Matthews has seven points (four goals, three assists) and 21 shots in his last five games. He has amassed 27 goals, 221 shots and 63 points in 55 contests this season. The superstar is having a down year by his standards, especially in the goal-scoring department, but Matthews is still cruising at a 90-plus-point pace. He also has 22 points on the power play after averaging 29 over the previous three seasons. That's valuable.

  • Maple Leafs' Mitch Marner: Two-point night in loss

Marner had a goal and an assist in a 5-2 loss to Nashville on Saturday.

His goal was a bang-bang one-timer off a clean faceoff win by Auston Matthews. It was Marner's first goal in seven games. He's still on top of the Leafs' scoring chart with 87 points (22 goals, 63 assists) in 69 games (150 shots). Marner is on pace for his first 100-point campaign, which bodes well for his massive new UFA contract this offseason. He's a strong play for the fantasy postseason.

  • Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Starting Saturday

Woll will protect the road goal versus the Predators on Saturday, per Maple Leaf Hotstove.

Woll is 4-1-0 over five games in March. While he has a 3.23 GAA and an .899 save percentage over that span, fantasy managers chasing wins won't mind his recent performance. He's got a good chance to keep things going in the right direction against a Nashville team that has gone 0-3-1 over the last four games, scoring just three times in that span.

  • Maple Leafs' Matthew Knies: Hits 25-goal mark

Knies scored a goal in a 4-3 win over the Rangers on Thursday.

His goal stood as the winner. Knies roared off the bench and William Nylander found him from behind the net. He scored from between the circles. Knies has 25 goals, 20 assists and 119 shots -- all career highs -- in 65 games this season. And he's on pace for a possible 30-goal season. Last year, there were just 47 NHLers who hit that mark. Knies' future potential is manifesting itself quickly. He has just 148 regular-season games under his belt.

  • Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: First win in March

Stolarz made 27 saves in a 4-3 win over the Rangers on Thursday.

The first goal that got past Stolarz came when he was screened by several players -- he didn't see a thing. The second came on a rebound, and the third was a deflection with 35 seconds left in the game. The win must have been a massive relief for Stolarz, who hadn't won since Feb. 28 (0-3-1). Overall, he's 14-8-3 in 26 starts, and he has a 2.42 GAA and .918 save percentage.

  • Maple Leafs' Bobby McMann: Three points in last three games

McMann had a goal and an assist in a 4-3 win over the Rangers on Thursday.

McMann deflected a shot past Igor Shesterkin with 10 seconds left in the first period to put the Leafs up 2-1 going into the first intermission. He continues to put up career totals in goals (19), assists (12) and shots (136). McMann has three points, including two goals, and nine shots in his last three games.

  • Maple Leafs' John Tavares: Hits 1,100 point plateau in win

Tavares scored two goals and added an assist in a 4-3 win over the Rangers on Thursday.

Tavares became the eighth active player with 1,100 points (485 goals, 615 assists) in his career (1,170 games). His first goal opened the scoring in the first period off the rush with a one-timer from the top of the left face-off circle. Tavares' second put the Maple Leafs up 3-2 in the second period when he stuffed a rebound past Igor Shesterkin. JT is now just one goal from his seventh 30-goal season.

  • Maple Leafs' William Nylander: Gets 600th NHL point

Nylander put up two assists in a 4-3 win over the Rangers on Thursday.

He fired three shots. The first assist was Nylander's 600th NHL point (672 games). He had his nine-game point streak snapped Wednesday, but he got right back on the proverbial horse against the Rangers. Nylander sits second on the Leafs with 73 points (38 goals, 35 assists) and second on the NHL goal list behind Leon Draisaitl (undisclosed).

  • Maple Leafs' Jake McCabe: Huge three-assist effort in win

McCabe put up three assists Thursday in a 4-3 win over the Rangers. He also registered three hits and two blocks.

This was McCabe's first three-point game in blue and white. He's not known for his offense -- these points were his first in nine games, and he has just 20 points (two goals, 18 assists) in 60 games this season. But McCabe has arguably been the Leafs best defender on the ice, especially in reducing chances and snuffing out the opposition's best players. His fantasy value comes from his hits (109) and blocks (123).

  • Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: In goal Thursday

Stolarz will protect the road goal versus the Rangers on Thursday, Colin Stephenson of Newsday reports.

Stolarz is set to start for the first time in three games, as Joseph Woll's strong play has earned him more time while Stolarz has struggled to a record of 0-3-1 with 15 goals allowed over five appearances in March. A strong showing Thursday could help Stolarz reclaim his No. 1 status in goal. The Rangers have won just two of their last six games, scoring a total of 13 goals in that span.

  • Maple Leafs' John Prokop: Signs with Toronto

Prokop signed a one-year contract with the Maple Leafs on Thursday.

Prokop's one-year deal with the Maple Leafs will begin during the 2025-26 campaign, and he'll spend the end of the 2024-25 season on an amateur tryout with AHL Toronto. The 23-year-old has spent the start of the year at Union College, racking up eight goals and 19 assists over 36 games.

  • Maple Leafs' Simon Benoit: Garners shorthanded assist

Benoit logged a shorthanded assist and four hits in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Avalanche.

Benoit's offense has improved dramatically this month. He has a goal and three helpers over his last five contests, which followed a stretch of 24 games without a point. Benoit is up to eight points, 38 shots on net, 187 hits, 93 blocked shots, 52 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 64 appearances. His helper Wednesday was the first shorthanded point of his career.
