Danault has five points and a plus-4 rating over four outings in February. The 31-year-old center set up an Adrian Kempe tally late in the third period to get Saturday's contest to overtime. Danault continues to be more playmaker than finisher this season with five goals, 23 assists, 78 shots on net, 56 hits, 49 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating through 52 appearances.

Kempe ended a seven-game goal drought with his tally late in the third period to force overtime. The 28-year-old has logged at least four shots on net in nine of his last 10 outings, but he's scored just three goals in that span. It's a bit of bad luck, which he'll try to shake off while playing for Sweden at the 4 Nations Face-Off. Kings' David Rittich: Good effort, poor result Saturday
Rittich stopped 25 of 26 shots in Saturday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Ducks.
Rittich had a poor showing in a shootout win over the Stars on Friday. He played better Saturday, but the results evened out, as he gave up two goals in this shootout to let the Ducks escape with a road win. Rittich has allowed just seven goals while going 1-1-1 across his last three contests. The 32-year-old is 12-11-1 with a 2.59 GAA and an .890 save percentage through 25 appearances this season, his most games played in any campaign since he saw action in 48 contests in 2019-20 with the Flames. Darcy Kuemper (personal) figures to be back in action when the Kings' schedule resumes Feb. 22 versus Utah.

Burroughs played regularly when the Kings deployed seven defensemen for a couple of months. The return of Drew Doughty from an ankle injury and the return to a six-blueliner formation have combined to pinch both Burroughs and Andreas Englund out of the lineup, even in the absence of Mikey Anderson (finger). The Kings currently have nine defensemen on the roster, and when they get to full health, Burroughs or Englund could be at risk of landing on waivers. Burroughs is stuck on two assists with 34 hits and 31 PIM over 26 outings this season.
