Flames' Dryden Hunt: Joining NHL club
Hunt was recalled from AHL Calgary on Thursday.
Hunt will trade places with Clark Bishop, who was demoted to the minors in a corresponding move. Even with the 29-year-old Hunt moving up to the NHL roster, he is far from a lock to play in Thursday's matchup with Colorado and will need to edge out Kevin Rooney or Adam Klapka.

Flames' Ilya Solovyov: Called up from minors
Solovyov was recalled from AHL Calgary on Wednesday.
Solovyov has yet to get into a game this season, spending the entirety of the campaign with the Wranglers. Over 41 minor-league outings, the 2020 seventh-round pick has generated six goals and 15 assists, setting a new personal best in both goals and points. Solovyov will likely serve as a depth option for Thursday's matchup with Colorado unless there is another injury on the Flames' blue line.

One of Weegar's helpers came on the power play. The defenseman is on a roll lately -- he has a goal and six helpers over his last seven contests, with five of those seven points coming on the power play. For the season, the 31-year-old has remained an all-around force with 29 points (13 on the power play), 115 shots on net, 143 hits, 114 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating across 53 appearances.

Flames' Yegor Sharangovich: Stays hot with power-play goal
Sharangovich scored a power-play goal on two shots and went minus-2 in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Sharangovich has scored on the power play in back-to-back games. He has five tallies and five assists over his last 12 outings, a return to the scoring form he displayed for most of 2023-24. The 26-year-old forward is now at 11 goals, 21 points, 92 shots on net and a minus-6 rating through 46 appearances. He was a 31-goal, 59-point man in 2023-24, and if he can play at that level over the remainder of this season, he could still get to the 40-point mark by the end of the campaign.

Flames' Matthew Coronato: Power-play goal in loss
Coronato scored a power-play goal and added two hits in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Maple Leafs.

The 22-year-old winger's goal was the first one that counted in this contest -- each team had a goal waved off after a review in the first period. Coronato is up to 14 tallies, 29 points, 115 shots on net and a plus-8 rating through 48 appearances. He's got 20-goal potential and is still seeing top-six minutes while also featuring on the first power-play unit.

Flames' Jonathan Huberdeau: Scoring pace slowing
Huberdeau put up two helpers Tuesday in a 6-3 loss to Toronto.
Huberdeau has three points (one goal, two assists) in his last two games. He put up an impressive 17 points (nine goals, eight assists) in 13 games from the end of November, but he has just four goals and six assists in the next 16. Those are decent numbers, but Huberdeau clearly has the ability to be more, both for the Flames and his managers.

Flames' Nazem Kadri: Two apples keep doctor away
Kadri put up two helpers Tuesday in a 6-3 loss to Toronto.
He wired six shots Tuesday, too. Kadri is on a three-game, four-point streak that includes three assists and 13 shots. Overall, he has 38 points (18 goals, 20 assists) in 53 games, and by season's end, he'll be within a few games of the vaunted 1,000-game mark. That will be a massive milestone for the talented pivot. Kadri is already the first Muslim player to win a Stanley Cup, and he'll be the first to hit the 1,000-game milestone, too.

Flames' Joel Farabee: First goal with new team
Farabee scored a goal in a 6-3 loss to Toronto on Tuesday.
Farabee tipped in a Jonathan Huberdeau shot for the former's first goal with the Flames. The tally cut Toronto's lead to 5-3 early in the third period. Farabee has nine goals and 11 assists in 53 games overall, but the opportunity to take an offensive step forward is right in front of the 24-year-old winger. He could surprise off the wire.

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Third loss in last four starts
Wolf made 24 saves Tuesday in a 6-3 loss to Toronto. He allowed five goals.
Few goalies can stop the offensive waves of the Maple Leafs, so Wolf need not feel bad about the effort. William Nylander racked up his second career hat trick and Auston Matthews had three assists. Wolf has lost three of his last four games and allowed 10 goals in those three losses, but he has 19 wins and sparkling 2.58 GAA and .914 save percentage overall. Pospisil notched an assist, seven hits and two PIM in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Kraken.
Pospisil has a goal and three helpers over his last six outings. He's also logged 30 hits in that span. The Flames' trade for Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee looks to have temporarily cut off Pospisil's chances of top-line ice time, though the 25-year-old has played alongside Frost and Yegor Sharangovich on the third line. Overall, Pospisil has 17 points, 71 shots on net, 72 PIM, 181 hits and a plus-1 rating through 52 games this season.

Backlund ended a four-game slump when he set up a Yegor Sharangovich tally in the first period. The 35-year-old Backlund saw 17:15 of ice time Sunday, less than both Nazem Kadri and Morgan Frost among Calgary's centers. Backlund has maintained a heavy workload as a high-end defensive center this season, averaging 19:14 per game while racking up 22 points (six on the power play), 125 shots on net and a plus-5 rating across 52 appearances.

The 28-year-old is up to 20 points (seven on the power play), 104 shots on net, 123 blocks, 48 PIM and a minus-11 rating through 52 contests in a top-four role.

For the season, he's up to six goals, 21 helpers, 12 power-play points, 112 shots on net, 139 hits, 114 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating over 52 appearances. Weegar and Detroit's Moritz Seider are the only two players to have at least 100 each of shots on goal, hits and blocks through Sunday's action, making them two of the top well-rounded blueliners in fantasy.

Flames' Nazem Kadri: Adds power-play helper
Kadri notched a power-play assist, three shots on goal and two hits in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Kraken.

The center is up to 36 points (12 on the power play), 36 hits, 170 shots on net, 57 PIM and a minus-14 rating through 52 appearances this season.
