  • Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Stellar in win

Fleury stopped 36 of 37 shots in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Sharks. Fleury had been battling an illness earlier in the week, but he was able to handle the goaltending duties for the first half of a back-to-back. The Sharks actually put forth a pretty good effort, but Fleury was up to the task, allowing just a William Eklund tally in the second period. This was Fleury's third straight win, and he's allowed just four goals on 83 shots in that span, which includes one relief appearance. He's now 9-3-1 with a 2.54 GAA and a .910 save percentage through 14 appearances. Filip Gustavsson is likely to start Sunday in Vegas, but he's been struggling lately, which could open the door for Fleury to see a larger share of starts if those struggles persist.

  • Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Expected to serve as backup

Fleury (illness) took the ice for warmups and is expected to serve as the backup goalie for Thursday's home game against the Avalanche, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports. Fleury was deemed questionable to suit up Thursday, but the Wild's organizational goaltending depth is in dire straits with injuries to Jesper Wallstedt (undisclosed) and Dylan Ferguson (undisclosed). As such, Fleury will attempt to power through -- he likely won't make an appearance unless Filip Gustavsson gets hurt.

  • Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Questionable Thursday

Fleury is suffering from an illness and is questionable to back up Filip Gustavsson on Thursday, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports. The Wild face Colorado at home and if Fleury is unable to dress, the team may need to utilize an EBUG due to injuries to both Jesper Wallstedt (undisclosed) and Dylan Ferguson (undisclosed) Fleury has won his last two games, including making all 15 saves in relief of Gustavsson on Tuesday in a 6-4 win over St. Louis. Overall, Fleury is 8-3-1 with a 2.67 GAA and a .903 save percentage over 13 appearances in 2024-25. Consider him day-to-day at this time.

  • Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Back in win column

Fleury made 28 saves on 31 shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Capitals. Minnesota was trailing 3-2 in the final frame before Marco Rossi tied the game at 11:19. Fleury stood tall in the extra frame and stopped all three shots that he faced in the shootout. This was just Fleury's second win in his last six starts, and he'll try to turn the page in the new calendar year after posting a 1-3-0 record, 3.05 GAA and .886 save percentage over five appearances in December. Overall, the 40-year-old netminder is sporting a 7-3-1 record, 2.81 GAA and .898 save percentage through 12 appearances this season.

Jesper Wallstedt will tend the twine on the road versus the Jets on Saturday, but Fleury could be back between the pipes at home against the Blackhawks on Monday.

During that stretch, Fleury is 1-2-0 with a 3.33 GAA and .885 save percentage. With the Wild entering a back-to-back, it seems likely that Jesper Wallstedt will get the nod on the road against Winnipeg on Saturday -- though Gustavsson hasn't been officially ruled out yet.

  • Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Poor performance in loss Wednesday

Fleury stopped 27 of 33 shots in Wednesday's 6-1 loss to the Panthers. Over his four appearances in December, the 40-year-old netminder has gone 1-2-0 with a 3.33 GAA and an .885 save percentage since he's stopped just 85 of the 96 shots he's faced.

Fleury will defend the cage at home against the Panthers on Wednesday, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports. In his last five outings, the Flower is 3-1-0 with a 2.33 GAA and a .915 save percentage. In addition to starting Wednesday, Fleury should feature in one of the Wild's back-to-back games either Friday or Saturday against Utah or Winnipeg, respectively.

Fleury made 21 saves Saturday in a 4-1 win over Philadelphia. The Flower made a 10-bell save in the first period to keep the game scoreless. After a turnover at the blue line, the Flyers grabbed the puck and broke in. Fleury stretched right to left across the crease and made a glove save at full stretch on Travis Konecny's quick shot. This season is loaded in emotion for Fleury, who announced in the offseason that this would be his last. The recently turned 40 backup is 6-1-1 with a 2.51 GAA and a .909 save percentage in eight starts this season, so he's still got it when he's in the blue paint.

Fleury stopped seven of nine shots after replacing Filip Gustavsson in Thursday's 7-1 loss to the Oilers. Fleury stepped in to replace Gustavsson, who gave up five goals on 26 shots before departing the contest at the end of the second period. At 40 years of age, Fleury hasn't had the workload of being a regular starter, but he's been very effective as a backup. Even when factoring in this outing in which the Wild looked overmatched, the veteran netminder has gone 5-1-1 with a 2.71 GAA and a .905 save percentage across eight appearances in 2024-25.

  • Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Takes first regulation loss

Fleury gave up two goals on 32 shots in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Kings. The last two goals were empty-netters. Fleury did his part to give the Wild a fighting chance, but the Kings gave them no quarter. As a result, the veteran netminder earned his first regulation loss of the season, dropping him to 5-1-1 with a 2.56 GAA and a .910 save percentage over seven starts. He's had a light workload because Filip Gustavsson has been one of the best goalies in the league, leaving no room for Fleury to take on a larger role. The Wild play four times between Tuesday and Sunday, Dec. 15, including a weekend back-to-back, so Fleury probably won't have to wait long for his next start.

Fleury stopped 20 shots in Friday's 3-2 win over Chicago. The visitors grabbed a 2-0 lead early in the second period on a pair of Ryan Donato tallies, but Fleury shut the door the rest of the way as the Wild offense got rolling. The 40-year-old goalie has been used sparingly this season as the backup to Filip Gustavsson, but the usage seems to be agreeing with Fleury as he has yet to take a regulation loss this season, going 5-0-1 in six starts with a .904 save percentage.

Fleury stopped 28 of 31 shots in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Oilers. Fleury has rattled off four straight wins after losing his season debut versus the Kraken. He played his 1,030th career regular-season game, moving past Patrick Roy for third-place all time among goaltenders. Fleury needs to make 15 more appearances to surpassed Roberto Luongo (1,044) for second place, which would put him behind only Martin Brodeur (1,266). Filip Gustavsson will likely get the start Saturday in Calgary in a matinee game.
