  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Notches helper in loss

Broberg put up an assist and two shots on goal in Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Stars. Broberg has picked up four points (two goals, two assists) over his last four games. The defenseman appears to have regained some momentum on offense after the 4 Nations Face-Off break -- prior to the pause, he had been limited to three points over a 17-game span since the start of January. The 23-year-old is up to 21 points, 71 shots on net, 63 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating through 49 appearances. He's not currently in a power-play role, so he has a fairly low ceiling on offense.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Lights lamp twice Thursday

Broberg recorded two goals in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Capitals. Broberg found the back of the net twice in the first period to record his first multi-goal effort of the campaign. He's up to six goals on the year, but he's scored three of those across his last five appearances. Broberg has posted five total points over that five-game stretch.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Manages assist in win

Broberg put up an assist and fired two shots on goal in Tuesday's 7-2 win over the Kraken. Broberg's offense has slowed down dramatically -- he has just four points over 20 contests since the start of 2025. The 23-year-old defenseman remains in a top-four role, but that could change if the Blues add any reinforcements to the blue line before the trade deadline. Broberg is still enjoying the best season of his career with 18 points, 66 shots on net, 59 blocked shots, 33 hits and a plus-8 rating across 46 appearances, production that may be enough to generate value in deeper fantasy formats.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Avoids serious injury

Broberg (undisclosed) will be in the lineup against the Golden Knights on Thursday, Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic reports. Broberg suffered an injury at Wednesday's practice session but appears to be no worse for the wear. With the blueliner suiting up versus Vegas, he will look to end an 11-game goal drought during which he recorded just two helpers to go with 18 shots, 10 blocks and five hits.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Being evaluated for injury

Broberg is being evaluated by the Blues' medical team after leaving Wednesday's practice session early, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports. Broberg is currently stuck in a 10-game goal drought during which he registered two assists, 17 shots and eight blocks while averaging 19:36 of ice time. Despite his recent slump, the 23-year-old blueliner has already set new personal bests in goals (three), assists (12) and shots (47). If Broberg does miss any time, Scott Perunovich figures to step into the lineup.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Scores in win

Broberg scored a goal on two shots, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Friday's 7-4 win over the Predators. Broberg ended his eight-game point drought with the second-period tally, which ended up being the game-winner. The 23-year-old defenseman hadn't scored since Oct. 24, though he missed most of November due to a knee injury. For the season, he has three goals, 13 points, 29 shots on net, 33 blocked shots, 22 hits and a plus-7 rating over 24 appearances in a breakout campaign. Broberg's recent struggles have endangered his chances of finding offense in the long run, as he has lost out on a power-play role to Cam Fowler.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Set to play Friday

Broberg (illness) will be in the lineup Friday versus Florida, according to Matthew DeFranks of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Broberg missed Thursday's 3-1 loss to Tampa Bay because of the illness. He has two goals and 12 points in 21 outings this campaign. Tyler Tucker, who logged 8:29 of ice time against the Lightning, is set to be a healthy scratch Friday.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Game-time decision Friday

Broberg (illness) will be a game-time decision in Florida on Friday, Lou Korac of The Hockey News reports. Broberg was a late scratch Thursday in Tampa Bay, and his status for Friday's tilt is in question. Broberg has two goals and 10 assists over 21 contests this season. Should Broberg be scratched, Tyler Tucker will once again draw into the lineup.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Won't play Thursday

Broberg is a late scratch for Thursday's game versus Tampa Bay because of an illness. Broberg has two goals and 12 points in 21 appearances in 2024-25. Tyler Tucker, who was summoned from AHL Springfield on Thursday, will draw into the lineup as a result of Broberg's absence.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Records two assists in win

Broberg notched two assists and two shots on goal in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Flames. Broberg has three helpers over three games since he returned from a knee injury. The defenseman earned one of his helpers Thursday on the power play, as he's reclaimed time on the second unit since his return last Saturday. The 23-year-old is at two goals, 10 assists, 17 shots on net, 15 blocked shots, 13 hits and a plus-7 rating over 15 contests.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Gathers helper

Broberg posted an assist, two hits and two blocked shots in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Jets. This was Broberg's second game back from a knee injury. The 23-year-old defenseman has stepped right back into a top-four role, and he was alongside Colton Parayko on the top pairing Tuesday. Broberg has 10 points, 15 shots on net, 14 blocked shots, 13 hits and a plus-6 rating over 14 appearances. He's already enjoyed a career year on offense and should be a solid player to roster in fantasy the rest of the way, and that'll be especially true as long as Justin Faulk (upper body) is out of action.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Ahead of schedule

Broberg (lower body) is skating and believed to be ahead of schedule in his recovery, Matthew DeFranks of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports Wednesday. Broberg, who hasn't played since Nov. 2, was originally projected to miss 4-6 weeks. It's not clear how much his timetable has changed, but perhaps he'll be in the lineup before the end of November. He has two goals and nine points in 12 outings in 2024-25. The Blues will certainly be grateful for the good news on the injury front given the challenges they've endured on the blue line. Nick Leddy (lower body) and Pierre-Olivier Joseph (lower body) are also on the shelf, and Torey Krug (ankle) isn't expected to play at all this season.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Lands to IR

Broberg (lower body) was moved to injured reserve Tuesday, per the NHL media site. Broberg hasn't played since Nov. 2 and received a 4-6 week timeline for his recovery. He has generated two goals, seven assists, 11 shots on net, 12 blocked shots and 10 hits across 12 appearances this season. With Broberg and Nick Leddy (lower body) unavailable, Pierre-Olivier Joseph and Scott Perunovich have been filling in on the blue line.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Set for 4-6 week absence

Broberg (lower body) will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks, Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic reports Monday. Given Broberg's recovery timeline, he should be a strong candidate for injured reserve and could even be designated for long-term injured reserve if the Blues need the cap space. Prior to getting hurt, the 23-year-old Swede was off to an incredible start to the 2024-25 campaign with nine points in 12 games -- already having topped his career-best eight points recorded with the Oilers over 46 contests back in 2022-23. In Broberg's stead, Pierre-Olivier Joseph and Scott Perunovich should both see an uptick in playing time.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Nabs power-play assist

Broberg logged a power-play assist, two hits and two PIM in Tuesday's 8-1 loss to the Senators. The helper was Broberg's first power-play point of the campaign. He saw 2:56 with the man advantage in Tuesday's game, but he's regularly played second fiddle to Justin Faulk for power-play time. It hasn't hindered Broberg yet -- through 10 games, he's already matched his career high with eight points while adding nine shots on net, 10 hits, 10 blocked shots, six PIM and a plus-5 rating in a top-four role.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Point streak up to six games

Broberg logged an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Hurricanes. Broberg is one of nine defensemen in NHL history to begin his time with a new franchise with a point streak of at least six games. The blueliner has a goal, five assists, seven shots on net, six hits, three blocked shots and a plus-6 rating this season. Broberg has quickly taken to a top-four role with power-play time, and while the offense won't last all year, he's definitely played well enough to be worth consideration in fantasy.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Adds helper Friday

Broberg notched an assist and two shots on goal in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Golden Knights. Broberg has a goal, two assists, five shots on net and a plus-2 rating over three contests to begin the season. It's taken little time for Broberg to settle into a top-four role with the Blues -- he's averaged 19:27 of ice time per game. The 23-year-old blueliner entered this season with a total of 13 points over 81 appearances, but he's well on his way to enjoying a breakout campaign.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Nabs assist in win

Broberg notched an assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 5-4 overtime win over the Sharks. Broberg helped out on a Pavel Buchnevich tally in the first period. With a goal and an assist over his first two games, Broberg has fit right in on the Blues' second pairing after signing an offer sheet with the team in August. At 23 years old, he still has a lot to prove over the course of a full season, but the early returns have been promising. He's an interesting depth defender for fantasy given his spot on the second power-play unit.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Goal in debut in new city

Broberg got a goal in a 3-2 win over the Kraken on Tuesday. It was his debut with the Blues. Broberg's goal knotted the game 2-2 at 15:17 of the middle frame with a wrist shot from the top of the left circle that fooled Philipp Grubauer glove side. And in an ironic twist, fellow offer-sheet teammate Dylan Holloway got an assist. Broberg has a chance in St. Louis to become the NHL regular he never was in Edmonton. His best play came in the Oilers' recent run to the Stanley Cup Finals when he put up two goals and three points in 10 playoff games.

  • Blues' Philip Broberg: Offer sheet not matched

Broberg officially signed a two-year, $9.16 million contract with St. Louis after Edmonton didn't match the offer Tuesday. Broberg played in just 12 NHL games for the Oilers last season, registering two assists, four hits and six shots in 11:37 of ice time per game. With his new team, the blueliner should have the opportunity to compete for regular minutes, though he will face tough competition from the likes of Scott Perunovich and Pierre-Olivier Joseph -- not to mention veteran Ryan Suter.
