Islanders' Adam Boqvist: Good to go
Boqvist (upper body) will be in the lineup against Columbus on Monday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
After missing the last five games, Boqvist will return to action as a forward because Hudson Fasching (illness) is unavailable. Since being claimed off waivers from Florida on Jan. 31, the 24-year-old Boqvist has two goals, five points, 16 shots on net, five blocked shots and six hits in 12 appearances with the Islanders.

Islanders' Adam Boqvist: Not ready to return
Boqvist (upper body) isn't ready to rejoin the lineup for Saturday's game against Calgary, per Stefen Rosner of NHL.com.
It will be Boqvist's fifth straight game on the shelf. He has four goals and 11 points in 30 appearances between Florida and the Islanders in 2024-25. When healthy, Boqvist might serve on the third pairing.

Islanders' Adam Boqvist: Remains out Thursday
Boqvist (upper body) won't play Thursday versus the Canadiens, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
Boqvist was also dealing with an illness Tuesday, though it's unclear if he's recovered from it yet. In any case, he won't be in Thursday's lineup, sitting out for the fourth straight game. The 24-year-old's next chance to play is Saturday versus the Flames.

Islanders' Adam Boqvist: Dealing with UBI and illness
Boqvist (upper body) is dealing with an illness, according to Andrew Gross of Newsday on Tuesday.
Boqvist seems unlikely to play Tuesday against the Penguins considering he's under the weather on top of dealing with an upper-body injury. Tony DeAngelo, Ryan Pulock and Scott Mayfield will round out the right side of New York's blue line if Boqvist is unable to suit up in Pittsburgh.

Islanders' Adam Boqvist: Won't play Sunday
Boqvist (upper body) won't be an option for Sunday's matchup versus Florida, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
Boqvist will miss his second straight game, though he did participate in Sunday's morning skate. He is progressing but hasn't been cleared for contact yet. Boqvist has four goals, 11 points, 37 shots on net, 15 blocked shots and 11 hits through 30 appearances between the Panthers and Islanders this season. With Boqvist and Adam Pelech (lower body) unavailable, Scott Mayfield and Mike Reilly will play against the Panthers on Sunday.

Islanders' Adam Boqvist: Unavailable Friday
Boqvist (upper body) will not play Friday versus Edmonton, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
Boqvist was injured Tuesday in Los Angeles, seeing only 7:51 of ice time. The defenseman has two goals and five points in 12 games with the Islanders after he was claimed off waivers from Florida on Jan. 31. Scott Mayfield is expected to rejoin the lineup after being a healthy scratch Tuesday.

Islanders' Adam Boqvist: Dealing with upper-body injury
Boqvist is reportedly dealing with an upper-body injury suffered against the Kings on Tuesday, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
There was no update regarding Boqvist's injury from the team Tuesday, and it's unclear whether he'll be available Friday against the Oilers. If the blueliner does need to miss any time, the Isles have several candidates that could step into the lineup, including Scott Perunovich, Scott Mayfield and Mike Reilly.

Islanders' Adam Boqvist: Hurt in Tuesday's game
Boqvist (undisclosed) won't return to Tuesday's game versus the Kings, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
Boqvist was initially hurt on a hit in the second period. He stayed on the bench up until the intermission, but he did not come back out with the Islanders for the third period. If Boqvist can't play Friday against the Oilers, Scott Perunovich, Scott Mayfield or Mike Reilly would be options to replace him on the third defensive pairing.

Islanders' Adam Boqvist: Grabs apple in loss
Boqvist notched an assist and two hits in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Ducks.
On the lineup sheet, Boqvist was listed as the fourth-line center, but natural forwards Pierre Engvall and Marc Gatcomb handled the faceoff duties in the absence of Kyle MacLean (illness). That said, Boqvist took the same number of shifts (14) as his linemates, functionally working as a forward in the contest. That could be a way to get him or another of the Islanders' extra defensemen into the lineup more regularly down the stretch. Boqvist has four points over his last four outings and a total of 11 points, 37 shots on net, 15 blocked shots, 12 hits and a minus-6 rating through 29 appearances between the Islanders and the Panthers this season.

Islanders' Adam Boqvist: Nets power-play marker
Boqvist scored a power-play goal and added two PIM in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Sharks.
Boqvist stretched the Islanders' lead to 4-1 in the third period. He's played in 10 of 12 games since he was claimed off waivers from the Panthers, earning four points and 15 shots on net in that span. Still, Boqvist's place in the lineup isn't safe, especially with another power-play specialist in Scott Perunovich, as well as Scott Mayfield and Mike Reilly, waiting in the press box. Boqvist is at 10 points (five on the power play), 36 shots on net, 15 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating over 28 appearances this season.

Islanders' Adam Boqvist: Provides pair of helpers
Boqvist logged two assists and two shots on goal in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Predators.
Boqvist made an early impact, assisting on the Islanders' first two goals of the game -- an even-strength marker for Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Kyle Palmieri's power-play tally. This ended a six-game point drought for Boqvist, who scored in his Islanders debut Feb. 1 but hadn't gotten back on the scoresheet since. The 24-year-old has nine points, 35 shots on net, 14 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 26 appearances between the Islanders and the Panthers this season. With the blue line much healthier than it was a month ago, Boqvist will be in competition with Scott Mayfield and Scott Perunovich for playing time.

Islanders' Adam Boqvist: First goal with new team
Boqvist scored a goal Saturday in a 3-2 overtime win over Tampa Bay.
Boqvist was playing his first game for the Islanders after being claimed off waivers Friday. He took a pass off the boards for a breakaway. His first shot was stopped, but he punched in the rebound to tie the game 1-1 late in the second period. Boqvist, who was drafted eighth overall in 2018, has bounced around four teams over the last six seasons. The Isles have given the offensively-oriented defender a fresh start, although it's hard to know how he'll be deployed once Noah Dobson (lower body) returns and Tony DeAngelo slides down and becomes the secondary offensive contributor.

Islanders' Adam Boqvist: Claimed off waivers
Boqvist was claimed off waivers by the Islanders from Florida on Friday, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Boqvist has two goals, six points, six PIM, six hits and 10 blocks over 18 appearances with the Panthers in 2024-25. He might see time as a member of the Islanders' third pairing, but it wouldn't be surprising if he's primarily used as a depth option, which would lead to Boqvist being regularly sent to the press box.

Panthers' Adam Boqvist: Waived Wednesday
Boqvist was waived by Florida on Thursday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Boqvist hasn't been in the lineup since Jan. 6, so this move isn't shocking. However, his demotion would leave the Panthers with just six defensemen on the roster, so Florida will probably recall a blueliner from the minors. Boqvist has two goals and six points in 18 outings this campaign.

Panthers' Adam Boqvist: Finds assist Monday
Boqvist logged an assist and two shots on goal in Monday's 5-3 win over the Rangers.
Boqvist has played in Florida's last two games because Niko Mikkola (upper body) is sidelined. This was Boqvist's first point since he scored Dec. 3 versus the Penguins, and it was the lone assist on his brother Jesper Boqvist's second tally of the game. Through 15 appearances this season, Boqvist has racked up five points, 20 shots on net and a minus-5 rating while filling a part-time role on the Panthers' blue line. He routinely sees power-play time when in the lineup, but he'll likely be a scratch again once Mikkola can return.

Panthers' Adam Boqvist: Goals in consecutive games
Boqvist scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Penguins.
Boqvist has scored in back-to-back games since he replaced Uvis Balinskis on the Panthers' third pairing. The 24-year-old Boqvist had his tally Tuesday assisted by Matthew Tkachuk and Jesper Boqvist, marking the first time the two Boqvists have featured on the same goal in a regular-season game. This season, the younger brother has two goals, two assists, 16 shots on net and a minus-4 rating across 12 appearances, but it appears he's gaining traction to stay in the lineup.

Panthers' Adam Boqvist: Draws in, scores goal
Boqvist scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 6-0 win over the Hurricanes.
Boqvist got his first goal of the season during a four-goal burst over a span of 4:42 in the third period. The 24-year-old defenseman hadn't played much in November, dressing in just one of the first 13 games of the month. He replaced Uvis Balinskis in the lineup Saturday and could compete with him moving forward. Boqvist has three points, 14 shots on net, seven blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 11 appearances. His upside comes from offense, but he's unlikely to help in fantasy if he can't stay in the lineup.

Panthers' Adam Boqvist: Limited role in November
Boqvist was scratched for the 14th time in 15 games when he sat out Friday's 6-3 win over the Hurricanes.
Injuries to forwards and Florida's tight salary cap led to Boqvist dressing as the seventh defenseman for much of October. That role has been closed off with the Panthers enjoying fairly good health in November, and Nate Schmidt has played well enough to keep Boqvist in the press box. Through 10 appearances this season, Boqvist has two assists, 11 shots on net, six blocked shots and a minus-6 rating, though he saw power-play time when he was in the lineup.

Panthers' Adam Boqvist: Sets up power-play marker
Boqvist registered a power-play assist in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Islanders.
Boqvist continues to serve as a power-play specialist on the first unit. Both of his points through nine appearances have been power-play helpers, though he's seeing limited ice time overall (11:34 per game) as the Panthers have been forced to roll seven defensemen due to a lack of healthy forwards. Boqvist has added 10 shots on net, five blocked shots and a minus-5 rating, and he may be an occasional healthy scratch once the team is closer to full strength.

Panthers' Adam Boqvist: Logs power-play assist
Boqvist recorded a power-play assist and two PIM in Monday's 4-3 win over the Bruins.
Boqvist's helper was his first point of the season, though he has routinely seen power-play time when in the lineup. The 24-year-old defenseman missed one game after suffering a facial injury when struck by a puck. Boqvist has added five shots on net and a minus-2 rating, but if he remains on the top power-play unit, he should provide noticeable upside on offense.
