Sasson was promoted from AHL Abbotsford on Thursday.
The Canucks sent Sasson to the minors Wednesday in what was a paper transaction. Sasson has two goals and six points in 19 games with Vancouver this season. He has been a healthy scratch in his last two games in the NHL and is likely to spend Thursday's tilt against the Kings in the press box.

This might just be a paper transaction, and Sasson would be recalled ahead of Thursday's tilt against LA if it is. Then again, Sasson was a healthy scratch in each of the Canucks' past two games. He has two goals and six points in 19 outings with Vancouver in 2024-25.

Sasson was assigned to AHL Abbotsford on Monday.
Sasson has been a healthy scratch in each of Vancouver's past three games, but he's offered flashes of his potential in limited minutes -- the 24-year-old has accounted for one goal, four assists and a plus-3 rating through 12 appearances. Canucks' Max Sasson: Sent to AHL
Rotowire
Sasson was reassigned to AHL Abbotsford on Friday.
Sasson has four assists in nine appearances with Vancouver in 2024-25. The timing of this demotion is a touch awkward because Sasson registered two assists in the Canucks' 4-0 win over Florida on Thursday. Vancouver also demoted Aatu Raty is a corresponding move, which leaves the Canucks with 11 forwards on their roster. Unless a trade happens, Vancouver will presumably recall Sasson or another forward before Saturday's tilt against the Bruins.

Canucks' Max Sasson: First multi-point effort
Rotowire
Sasson notched two assists, two shots on goal, a plus-2 rating and four blocked shots in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Panthers.
This was Sasson's first multi-point effort at the NHL level, snapping a six-game slump. He had opened his career with an assist in each of his first two outings. If the 24-year-old stays in the NHL moving forward, he'll likely have to play on the wing -- the return of J.T. Miller (personal) gives the Canucks their preferred options at center. Sasson has four helpers, seven shots on net, six hits, seven blocked shots and a plus-4 rating through nine contests.

Canucks' Max Sasson: Point in NHL debut
Rotowire
Sasson picked up an assist in his NHL debut Saturday, a 4-3 win over the Senators.
He lured the defense toward him, pulled up and found Teddy Blueger trailing. Sasson played 7:49 and finished plus-1. And he earned the requisite shaving cream bomb from teammates in a TV interview after the game. Sasson is a bottom-six guy with a motor that never quits. His fantasy game is limited, but his enthusiasm is great to watch.
