Geekie found the back of the net in the second period to give the Bruins a 3-1 lead. The 26-year-old forward raised his season totals to 17 goals, 29 points and 103 shots on net in 52 outings this season. With his 17th tally of the year, Geekie tied his career best in goals that he set last season. He has developed great chemistry with David Pastrnak and Pavel Zacha on Boston's top line and is likely to remain in that role for the rest of the season. Geekie should contend for the 40-point mark for the first time in his career. He is a strong waiver wire add in deep leagues and has some value in standard formats.

It was Geekie's second point in the last three games, a hopeful sign that he can return to his 2023-24 form (39 points, 76 games). The forward has is up to six points through 21 outings this season.

Geekie returned from a three-game stint as a healthy scratch and was immediately promoted to the top line. It paid off -- he got the Bruins on the board at 4:53 of the third period, sparking a three-goal comeback for the visitors. The 26-year-old has not had nearly as much success as he did with a 39-point regular season from 2023-24, earning just three points and 18 shots on net over 12 outings in 2024-25. He's not likely to stick on the top line long-term, but he could be an option there for a while as the Bruins look to find consistency on offense.

Geekie was scratched Thursday, the second time he's sat out through 12 contests this season. He responded with an assist Saturday after taking Max Jones' spot in the lineup. The Bruins' lineup is a fairly open competition at this point given the team's 5-6-1 start to the season, so Geekie could play anywhere between the second line and fourth line.
