Ullmark stopped 32 of 35 shots in Sunday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Ducks.
Ullmark has just one win in his last six games (1-3-2), and he's given up at least three goals in all of them. The Ducks weren't good at protecting leads Sunday, and the Senators never offered Ullmark the chance to do so, though they were quick to respond each time they fell behind. The 31-year-old netminder dropped to 5-7-2 with a 3.07 GAA and an .889 save percentage over 15 outings this season. Ullmark and Anton Forsberg have alternated starts over the last five games. It's unclear if that pattern will hold, but the Senators have another back-to-back next weekend, so both goalies should see action over the next seven days.

Senators' Linus Ullmark: Tending twine Sunday
Ullmark will guard the road crease Sunday against the Ducks, according to Ducks PA Announcer Phil Hulett.
Ullmark will make his 15th appearance of the season Sunday in the second half of a back-to-back for Ottawa. The Swedish netminder snapped a personal four-game losing streak in a 4-3 win over the Sharks in his last start. The Ducks rank 27th in the NHL with 2.55 goals per game through 22 contests.

Senators' Linus Ullmark: Kept busy in win
Ullmark stopped 36 of 39 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Sharks.
Ullmark put an end to his four-game losing skid, and he had to be sharp to do so. The Sharks rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the third period, but Adam Gaudette's second goal of the game with 4:12 left was enough to earn the win for the Senators. This was Ullmark's heaviest workload in a start this season. He's now 5-7-1 with a 3.09 GAA and an .886 save percentage over 14 appearances. He'll likely split the next two starts with Anton Forsberg, as the Senators finish their California trip with a back-to-back in Los Angeles on Saturday and Anaheim on Sunday.

Senators' Linus Ullmark: Slated to start Wednesday
Ullmark is expected to start on the road against San Jose on Wednesday, according to TSN 1200 Ottawa.
Ullmark's last win came Nov. 12 against the Maple Leafs, and he's posted a record of 0-3-1 with a 4.27 GAA and an .835 save percentage across four outings since then. The 31-year-old, who was phenomenal through three seasons in Boston, has struggled to help Ottawa. He has a 4-7-1 record, 3.10 GAA and .881 save percentage across 13 appearances in 2024-25. The Sharks are 7-12-5 and have averaged 2.63 goals per game this year, so they're typically a favorable adversary.

He wasn't bad, but he wasn't great, and that's been the theme of his time in Ottawa early in the 2024-25 campaign. Ullmark has been shaky his last two starts, allowing 10 goals on only 50 shots. The Swedish netminder is 4-5-1 with a 2.99 GAA and an .884 save percentage in 11 appearances this season. Ullmark is off to his worst start since the 2018-19 season, when he was 15-14-5 with a 3.11 GAA and a .905 save percentage with Buffalo. Ullmark made 26 saves in a 5-2 loss to the Oilers on Tuesday.
It wasn't his best game, to say the least. The Oilers picked Ullmark and the Sens apart Tuesday night. Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and Evan Bouchard all had three-point games. Overall, Ullmark is 4-5-1 with a 2.99 GAA and an .884 save percentage. That's a far cry from his excellent stats from his Boston days, but the Bruins team structure really helped there. Shake this off, and get him back in your lineup as you'd normally use him.

Ullmark will look to bounce back from a disappointing matchup with the Flyers his last time out in which he gave up five goals on 19 shots (.737 save percentage). After that poor performance, the 31-year-old netminder was given the night off versus Carolina on Saturday in favor of Anton Forsberg.
