  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: First to 30 wins

Hellebuyck stopped 17 of 19 shots in Friday's 5-2 win over Utah. This wasn't Hellebuyck's performance, but he was good enough to collect his sixth win in his last seven outings. Utah twice came from one-goal deficits before the Jets' second line put the game to rest in the third period. Hellebuyck is the first goalie in the league to 30 wins this season (30-7-2), and he's added sparkling numbers elsewhere with a 2.02 GAA and a .926 save percentage through 39 starts. Barring a lengthy losing streak, the 31-year-old has a good chance to surpass his career-high 44 wins from the 2017-18 campaign. The Jets' next game is Sunday at home versus Calgary.

He's now 29-7-2 with a 2.02 GAA and a .927 save percentage over 38 starts. The 31-year-old netminder has a good chance of challenging his career high of 44 wins from the 2017-18 campaign.

Hellebuyck will protect the road goal versus the Avalanche on Wednesday, Murat Ares of The Athletic reports. Hellebuyck saw his four-game winning streak end when he allowed four goals on 27 shots to Utah on Monday in a 5-2 loss. The 31-year-old will look to get back on track against the Avalanche, a team he shut out Jan. 11 with a 22-save performance, which was his league-leading sixth shutout of the campaign.

Hellebuyck stopped 23 of 27 shots in Monday's 5-2 loss to Utah. The fifth goal was an empty-netter with 2:05 left in the third period. Hellebuyck entered this game having gone 4-0-0 with a 1.00 GAA and a .957 save percentage over his previous four starts, so he was bound to experience some kind of regression sooner rather than later. Fantasy managers should continue to trust him every time he's guarding the Jets crease.

Hellebuyck stopped 18 of 19 shots in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Kraken. Hellebuyck, who went through his usual starting routine, won't be in goal against the Kings on Friday, though he figures to start Saturday's matchup with Colorado instead, John Lu of TSN reports. Hellebuyck rarely takes the second of a back-to-back, but the coaching staff must want to deploy him against Central Division rivals Colorado. Since the calendar turned to 2025, the 31-year-old backstop has been relatively inconsistent, going 1-1-1 with a 2.98 GAA in his last three appearances, compared to December when Hellebuyck went 9-2-1 with a 1.82 GAA. Still, he remains one of the top netminders in the NHL and should be in contention for the Vezina Trophy once again.

Hellebuyck has taken consecutive losses (0-1-1) for the first time since he dropped three straight games in regulation from Nov. 27 to Dec. 3. The 31-year-old was beaten twice on Detroit power plays, so it's not fully his fault.
