  • Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Strong effort in loss

Mrazek made 22 saves in a 4-1 loss to the Capitals on Tuesday. Mrazek was on fire until well into the third period when the wheels came off a bit. The Caps got the lead at 8:16 of that frame, and they put up three in 7:11. Mrazek is 2-2-0 with one shutout, a 2.51 GAA and a .901 save percentage in four starts with the Red Wings. He has gotten every start since his arrival in Motown, and Cam Talbot has taken a back seat. Take advantage of Mrazek's opportunity.

  • Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Tough task Tuesday

Mrazek will patrol the road crease against the Capitals on Tuesday, per Tom Gulitti of NHL.com. Mrazek posted an 18-save shutout in Sunday's 3-0 win over Vegas. Since being acquired in a trade from Chicago, the veteran netminder is 2-1-0 with a .920 save percentage and a 2.01 GAA across three contests. He has a tough assignment Tuesday against a Washington club that has generated 3.63 goals per game this season, the best mark in the NHL.

  • Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Tends shutout Sunday

Mrazek stopped all 18 shots on goal in Sunday's 3-0 shutout win against the Golden Knights. Despite potential fatigue from starting the previous two games, Mrazek's third outing in a row was his first shutout of the season. Overall, he has a 12-20-2 record with a 3.33 GAA and a .892 save percentage. Sunday's shutout is an encouraging sign for Mrazek as he only had one shutout across 95 appearances with the Blackhawks over the previous two years. However, Mrazek has struggled for the majority of this season and is a difficult option to trust in fantasy. Mrazek is also one of three goaltenders on Detroit's roster and after playing the past three games, it is likely either Cam Talbot or Alex Lyon will start seeing action again soon.

  • Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Facing Golden Knights

Mrazek will patrol the home crease against Vegas on Sunday, per Ansar Khan of MLive.com. Mrazek will make his third straight start after going 1-1-0 with 51 saves on 57 shots over his last two outings. He has posted a record of 11-20-2 with a 3.43 GAA and an .890 save percentage through 35 appearances between Detroit and Chicago this season. Vegas ranks fifth in the league with 3.35 goals per game in 2024-25 and lost 4-3 in a shootout to Buffalo on Saturday.

  • Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Concedes three goals

Mrazek made 28 saves on 31 shots in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Hurricanes. The fourth goal was an empty-netter. After tending a clean first period, Mrazek allowed three tallies in the second stanza, which would be enough for Carolina to win. He has registered an 11-20-2 record with a 3.43 GAA and an .890 save percentage through 35 appearances between Detroit and Chicago this season. Friday's game marked the 33-year-old goaltender's first loss with the Red Wings since being acquired at the trade deadline. Mrazek had the best statistical season of his career with Detroit during the 2015-16 campaign. However, he finds himself in a tricky situation in fantasy as he will likely rotate starts with Cam Talbot and Alex Lyon. There are safer options than Mrazek between the pipes in fantasy, especially with the playoffs looming.

  • Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Starting again Friday

Mrazek will guard the road goal versus the Hurricanes on Friday, Cory Lavalette of the North State Journal reports. Mrazek won his Red Wings debut, stopping 23 of 26 shots versus the Sabres on Wednesday. The Red Wings are carrying three goalies, with Cam Talbot and Alex Lyon also in the mix, but it looks like head coach Todd McLellan may be taking a win-and-stay-in approach to the crease. This will be a tough matchup for Mrazek, as the Hurricanes have won five straight games while scoring 15 times in that span.

  • Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Nabs win in debut

Mrazek stopped 23 shots in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Sabres. The veteran goalie made his first start since being acquired by the Red Wings at the trade deadline and got more than enough offensive support to get him in the win column for the first time in over a month. Mrazek had a rough end to his Chicago tenure, giving up five goals in three of his last four outings, but with Cam Talbot having lost four straight starts and Alex Lyon looking unimpressive of late, the door could be open for Detroit's newest netminder to see a significant workload as the team tries to push its way into a playoff spot.

  • Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Set for debut Wednesday

Mrazek will make his Red Wings debut between the home pipes against the Sabres on Wednesday, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports. Mrazek went 10-19-2 with a 3.46 GAA in his 33 appearances for the Blackhawks this season and will now play his first game for the Red Wings since 2017-18. Selected by the organization in the fifth round of the 2010 NHL Draft, the Czech backstop will have to split the workload with Cam Talbot and Alex Lyon, which means his opportunities to start may be limited the rest of the way.

  • Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Heading to Detroit

Mrazek and Craig Smith were traded to Detroit from Chicago on Friday in exchange for Joe Veleno. Mrazek hasn't been particularly sharp in recent weeks, as he's gone 3-5-1 with a 3.98 GAA and an .885 save percentage over 10 appearances since the start of the calendar year. The Blackhawks recently added another goaltender by acquiring Spencer Knight as part of the trade that sent Seth Jones to Florida, and Mrazek will have a chance for a fresh start while returning to the team that drafted him in 2010. Cam Talbot and Alex Lyon have been relatively solid for the Red Wings this season, so Mrazek may not have an opportunity to carve out significant playing time unless the team makes another move ahead of Friday's trade deadline.

  • Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Chased after ugly first period

Mrazek allowed five goals on 15 shots in Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Golden Knights. Mrazek was able to avoid the loss, as the Blackhawks put up enough of a fight to cover his damage. The 33-year-old still had an ugly outing, which lasted just one period before Arvid Soderblom took over in goal for the final two frames. Mrazek has allowed five goals in three of his last four games, going 1-3-0 in that span. For the season, he remains at 10-19-2 with a 3.46 GAA and an .890 save percentage. If his performance continues to slip, it may open the door for Soderblom to challenge for the No. 1 job.

  • Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Expected to face Vegas

Mrazek is slated to start on the road against Vegas on Thursday, according to Scott Powers of The Athletic. Mrazek will try to rebound after allowing five goals on 21 shots (.762 save percentage) in his last start Saturday against the Blue Jackets. He's 10-19-2 with a 3.33 GAA and an .894 save percentage across 32 outings this season. Vegas is tied for seventh in the NHL with 3.26 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Concedes five goals

Mrazek made 16 saves on 21 shot attempts in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Blue Jackets. Mrazek, who has now allowed at least four goals in five of his last eight outings, allowed just one goal in the first period Saturday before Columbus piled on four goals across the final two frames. The 33-year-old netminder now has a 10-19-2 record with a 3.33 GAA and an .894 save percentage in 32 appearances this season. As Chicago continues to struggle defensively, Mrazek is a difficult option to trust in fantasy. His next opportunity to defend the crease is Sunday against the Maple Leafs.

  • Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Starting in Columbus

Mrazek will guard the road net Saturday against the Blue Jackets, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times. Mrazek will get the nod in Chicago's first game out of the break. He's gone 10-18-2 with an .897 save percentage and a 3.27 GAA this season. Mrazek will face a Columbus team that's averaging 3.21 goals per game.

  • Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Cruises to win Friday

Mrazek stopped 31 of 33 shots in Friday's 6-2 win over the Predators. Mrazek had lost his last three outings, but the Blackhawks erupted with plenty of goal support in this contest. It was also the first time since Jan. 8 that Mrazek was able to limit an opponent to two or fewer goals -- he had given up 25 tallies over his last six games. The 32-year-old netminder is now 10-18-2 with a 3.27 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 31 starts this season. It wouldn't be surprising to see Arvid Soderblom get the nod for Saturday's game in St. Louis.

  • Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Facing Predators

Mrazek will patrol the home crease versus Nashville on Friday, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Mrazek is on a three-game losing streak, going 0-2-1 while allowing 12 goals on 119 shots (.899 save percentage). Mrazek is 9-18-2 with a 3.32 GAA and an .895 save percentage over 30 appearances this season. The Predators are generating 2.60 goals per game, 29th in the NHL.

  • Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Mauled by Panthers

Mrazek made 39 saves in Saturday's 5-1 loss to Florida. Chicago was thoroughly outplayed on the afternoon, getting out-shot 44-25, and the final score might have been even uglier if it weren't for Mrazek's efforts. Even so, the outing continued a rough stretch for the veteran netminder -- Mrazek has gone just 1-4-1 over his last six starts with a 4.03 GAA and .889 save percentage, and he may be slipping into a timeshare with Arvid Soderblom as a result.

  • Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Gets starting nod for Saturday

Mrazek will guard the cage on the road against the Panthers on Saturday, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports. Mrazek has lost all but one of his last five outings, posting a 1-3-1 record, 3.83 GAA and .890 save percentage. In addition, the veteran netminder was forced to watch from the bench for the Blackhawks' last two contests in favor of Arvid Soderblom. If Mrazek continues to struggle, he could find himself relegated to the No. 2 role more regularly.

  • Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Falls to Wild

Mrazek gave up three goals on 27 shots in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Wild. The fourth goal was an empty-netter. Mrazek lost for the fourth time in his last six games, and he's allowed at least three goals in five of those outings. The 32-year-old didn't get any help over the first two periods Sunday, and the Blackhawks' comeback effort fell short in the third. Mrazek is now 9-17-2 with a 3.26 GAA and an .895 save percentage over 29 starts this season. The Blackhawks embark on a brutal three-game road trip over the next week, beginning with Tuesday's game against the Lightning followed by matchups with the Hurricanes on Thursday and the Panthers on Saturday.

  • Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Starting Sunday

Mrazek will patrol the home crease against Minnesota on Sunday, per Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio. Mrazek is coming off a 44-save effort in Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to Carolina. He has a 9-16-2 record with a 3.26 GAA and an .896 save percentage through 28 appearances this season. Minnesota ranks 19th in the league with 2.90 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Makes 44 saves in overtime loss

Mrazek stopped 44 of 48 shots in Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Hurricanes. Mrazek had to settle with another loss, his third across his last four outings, but he shouldn't get much of the blame for the outcome of the contest based on his workload. The 44 saves were a season-high mark by a wide margin, and it's also worth noting Mrazek has recorded a save percentage of .910 or higher in three of his last five starts. The record doesn't back him up, as he's gone 2-2-1 with a 3.41 GAA in that span.
