Dolphins' Malik Washington: Limited to one carry in Week 9 loss
Washington was not targeted during Miami's 30-27 loss to the Bills on Sunday. He rushed once for nine yards.
Washington played nearly double the amount of offensive snaps (35 percent) as Odell Beckham, but the veteran wideout managed to draw three more targets. A rookie sixth-round pick, Washington's only offensive touch Sunday came in the form of a nine-yard carry, and the only punt return he fielded went for minus-1 yard. Washington will look to make more of an impact on the road versus the Rams on Monday Night Football.

Dolphins' Odell Beckham: Logs first catches of the season
Beckham secured all three of his targets for 15 yards during Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Bills.
It took Beckham four games to record his first catches in a Dolphins uniform, but the veteran wideout managed to make an impact on offense during Miami's narrow divisional defeat Sunday. He continues to play less than 20 percent of offensive snaps, however, meaning Beckham's target share may not remain consistent heading into a road matchup against the Rams on Monday Night Football. Malik Washington now has gone back-to-back games without a target, but he's consistently played roughly twice the amount of offensive snaps per game as Beckham.

Dolphins' Jaylen Wright: Inefficient in loss to Buffalo
Wright rushed six times for 18 yards during Sunday's 30-27 loss at Buffalo.
Wright continues to handle a depth role in the Dolphins backfield behind De'Von Achane and Raheem Mostert, both of whom were more effective versus the Bills. Achane has emerged as Miami's most dangerous offensive weapon in recent weeks, and he scored twice and surpassed 100 yards from scrimmage Sunday. Mostert, meanwhile, has been mostly useful in a No. 2 role, though he did lose a fumble Week 9. Wright will next work to impress in limited opportunities versus the Rams on Monday Night Football.

Dolphins' Jordyn Brooks: Steady in road loss
Brooks recorded seven tackles (four solo) during Sunday's 30-27 loss at Buffalo.
Brooks was on the field for all of the Dolphins' defensive snaps in Week 9, and he managed at least seven tackles for his sixth straight game. He'll profile as a solid IDP option for Week 10 when Miami takes on the Rams.

Dolphins' Jalen Ramsey: Nabs first pick of season
Ramsey recorded one tackle (one solo) and an interception during Sunday's 30-27 loss at Buffalo.
Josh Allen wisely avoided targeting Ramsey for most of Sunday's contest, but he was still able to make a mark in Week 9 early in the second quarter by corralling a red-zone pass after it bounced off the fingertips of Keon Coleman. His assignment in Week 10 will be to try to slow down Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua in Los Angeles.

Dolphins' Anthony Walker: Dolphins' leading tackler in loss
Walker recorded 10 tackles (four solo) during Sunday's 30-27 loss at Buffalo.
Walker played all 59 of Miami's defensive snaps in Week 9, and he turned in his highest single-game tackle total of the season thus far. It looks like he may have permanently supplanted David Long as a starter at inside linebacker, which would put him on the IDP radar for a Week 10 matchup against the Rams.

Dolphins' Bradley Chubb: Nearing return to practice
Coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that he was optimistic Chubb (knee) would be able to return to practice during the week, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
McDaniel was careful not to make any definitive guarantees to reporters Monday, but it's an encouraging sign in any case for Chubb, who has missed the first nine games of the 2024 season as he's rehabbed from a torn ACL he suffered in Week 17 of last season. The Dolphins' first official practice report of the week Thursday will give more insight into his potential availability for Week 10.

Dolphins' Jason Sanders: Faultless in road loss
Sanders made both of his two field-goal tries and converted all three of his extra-point attempts during Sunday's 30-27 loss at Buffalo.
Sanders made multiple field goals for his second straight contest in Week 9, further demonstrating his accuracy on short kicks this season. The Dolphins' offense appears to be back on track with Tua Tagovailoa under center again, and Sanders will get the benefit of kicking indoors in Week 10 against the Rams.

Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Outplayed by Achane in Week 9
Mostert rushed 10 times for 56 yards, caught both of his targets for 32 yards and lost a fumble in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Bills.
Mostert touched the ball on Miami's first three plays of the second half, and while he compiled 30 scrimmage yards during that stretch, it ended on a sour note when he lost a fumble. He finished with 12 touches compared to 20 for De'Von Achane, who compiled 121 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns. Mostert had a two-touchdown performance of his own in Week 8 against Arizona, but Achane has the higher floor in Miami's productive backfield heading into Week 10 against the Rams.

Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Snaps TD drought in loss
Waddle caught both of his targets for minus-4 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Bills.
Waddle wasn't targeted until just 2:34 remained in the fourth quarter, when he made a 12-yard catch to convert a third-and-7. He had an injury scare on the very next play, when Waddle stayed down after Damar Hamlin fell on his leg, but the wide receiver stayed in the game and proceeded to catch a game-tying seven-yard touchdown with 1:38 remaining. Unfortunately for Waddle's fantasy managers, he was credited with a 23-yard loss on the game's final play, as he got the ball on a lateral and ran backward to avoid a Bills defender, only to be tackled anyway. Waddle finally ended a touchdown drought that dated back to Week 15 of last season, but he's building a new infamous streak, with seven consecutive games of fewer than 50 receiving yards heading into a Week 10 MNF matchup against the Rams.

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Just three incompletions in loss
Tagovailoa completed 25 of 28 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Bills. He added two rushing attempts for three yards.
Tagovailoa rarely pushed the ball downfield, instead keeping the offense on schedule by accurately dinking and dunking. He threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to De'Von Achane in the second quarter and a game-tying seven-yard touchdown pass to Jaylen Waddle with 1:38 left in the fourth, but Buffalo answered with a game-winning field goal in the final seconds. Tua's return from concussion protocol hasn't helped Miami get back in the win column, as the Dolphins are 2-7 overall and 1-3 in games started by Tagovailoa heading into a Week 10 MNF road game against the Rams.

Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Team-high 80 receiving yards
Hill caught four of five targets for 80 yards in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Bills.
Hill had just one catch for six yards in the first half but wound up leading the Dolphins with 80 receiving yards. He got 55 of those yards in the third quarter, when Hill made a nice 28-yard catch along the sideline to set up a go-ahead field goal and added a 27-yard catch over the middle. Hill had at least 82 receiving yards in 11 of 16 appearances during his outstanding 2023 regular season, but he hasn't reached that threshold since a 130-yard receiving performance in Week 1. He also hasn't scored since the season opener, so Hill will be looking to end a seven-game touchdown drought when the Dolphins face the Rams on MNF in Week 10.
