  • Packers' Brenton Cox: Records 4.0 sacks on limited snaps

Cox finished the 2024 season with 12 tackles (eight solo), including 4.0 sacks, and one forced fumble across seven regular-season contests.

Cox signed with Green Bay as an undrafted free agent out of Florida following the 2023 NFL Draft and played four defensive snaps as a rookie. A healthy inactive for the first nine games of the season, Cox didn't see his first action of the 2024 campaign until Week 11 against the Bears, where he recorded 1.0 sacks on 22 snaps. Cox was a prominent member of the Packers' edge rotation the rest of the way and finished fourth on the team in sacks despite playing a total of 160 defensive snaps. On a per-snap basis, Cox was one of the most productive edge rushers in the league, recording seven QB hits and five tackles for loss. Look for the coaching staff to give Cox an even longer look this offseason.

  • Packers' Zayne Anderson: Starts two contests in 2024

Anderson (concussion) finished the 2024 season with 16 tackles (13 solo) and two pass breakups, including one interception, across 16 regular-season contests.

Anderson made the first two starts of his career this past season. He appeared in a total of 17 games for the Chiefs and Packers across the 2021-23 campaigns but didn't play a single defensive snap during that time. Anderson saw action on 123 defensive snaps as a reserve safety for Green Bay during the 2024 campaign and is scheduled to be an exclusive-rights free agent this spring. If the Packers tender Anderson, he'll compete for a similar role next summer. He missed Week 18 and the wild-card playoff loss to the Eagles with a concussion.

  • Packers' Colby Wooden: Plays in 13 games for Green Bay

Wooden finished the 2024 season with 20 tackles (nine solo) and two pass breakups across 13 regular-season contests.

A fourth-round pick out of Auburn in the 2023 NFL Draft, Wooden has appeared in 30 games for the Packers over the last two seasons, making one start. However, he hasn't made much of an impact in the box score, tallying just four QB hits and three tackles for loss, including 0.5 sacks, on 489 defensive snaps. Wooden will look to carve out a more prominent role along Green Bay's defensive line in his third season.

  • Packers' Devonte Wyatt: Records 5.0 sacks in third season

Wyatt (lower leg) finished the 2024 season with 23 tackles (17 solo), including 5.0 sacks, and two fumble recoveries across 14 regular-season contests.

Wyatt missed three games in the middle of the season with an ankle injury, and he was then injured five snaps into the wild-card playoff loss to the Eagles. Despite the missed time, Wyatt's 5.0 sacks were second most on the team behind Rashan Gary's 7.5. Wyatt has 10.5 sacks over the last two seasons and has become a pocket-pushing presence in the middle of Green Bay's defensive line. Wyatt has one year remaining on his rookie contract.

  • Packers' Karl Brooks: Logs 3.5 sacks as reserve lineman

Brooks finished the 2024 season with 24 tackles (14 solo), including 3.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries, two pass breakups and one forced fumble across 17 regular-season contests.

Taken in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Bowling Green, Brooks appeared in all 17 games for the second straight season, though he's yet to make a start. He saw a leap in playing time, though, going from 34 percent of the defensive snaps as a rookie to 41 percent in 2024. Brooks' 3.5 sacks were tied for fifth most on the team, and with Tedarrell Slaton slated to become a free agent in March, Brooks could be in line for an elevated role next season.

  • Packers' Tedarrell Slaton: Starts all 17 games for Green Bay

Slaton finished the 2024 season with 30 tackles (15 solo), including 1.0 sacks, across 17 regular-season contests.

Slaton started all 17 games for the second consecutive season, but like fellow defensive tackle Kenny Clark, Slaton had his snaps dialed back under first-year DC Jeff Hafley, who rotated his linemen more than formed DC Joe Barry. After playing 56 percent of the snaps in 2023, Slaton's playing time dipped to 39 percent this past season, and he finished the year with 20 fewer tackles. Slaton is slated to be an unrestricted free agent in March.

  • Packers' Carrington Valentine: Starts seven games in second season

Valentine finished the 2024 season with 32 tackles (18 solo), five pass breakups, including two interceptions, and two forced fumbles across 15 regular-season contests.

Selected in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft, Valentine has become a key contributor on Green Bay's defense. After starting 12 games as a rookie, Valentine made another seven starts this past season, seeing action on 57 percent of the defensive snaps as a sub-package cornerback. He was pressed into a bigger role with Jaire Alexander missing 10 games and parts of several others due to knee, quadriceps and groin injuries. In an ideal world for Green Bay, Valentine would likely be the fourth cornerback and a special-teams contributor, but he's shown he can hang when pressed into action.

  • Packers' Lukas Van Ness: Just 3.0 sacks in second season

Van Ness finished the 2024 season with 33 tackles (22 solo), including 3.0 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery across 17 regular-season contests.

The 13th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Van Ness' second pro season virtually mirrored his first. He appeared in all 17 games (zero starts) and upped his tackles number by a mere one, while his sack total dipped from 4.0 as a rookie to 3.0 in his second season. After playing 33 percent of the defensive snaps in 2023, Van Ness was up to 39 percent this past season. The Packers are likely hoping for a third-year leap from Van Ness in 2025. Green Bay could use a more productive edge rusher opposite Rashan Gary.
