Rams' Blake Corum: Officially makes LAR debut
Corum rushed eight times for 28 yards in Sunday's 41-10 blowout loss to the Cardinals.
Corum made his much-anticipated debut with the Rams after receiving no touches in Week 1. The third-round pick wound up leading the team in rushing yards, but the uptick in usage has to be attributed to the lopsided nature of this game, as most of his work came after starters were pulled. Kyren Williams (12/25/1) remains the starter in Sean McVay's offense, but Corum's involvement as a backup option Sunday's restores hope for the rookie's sleeper status heading into a Week 3 matchup against the 49ers.

Rams' Blake Corum: Minimal involvement in Week 1 loss
Corum did not play a single offensive snap during the Rams' 26-20 overtime loss to the Lions on Sunday night. He did see nine snaps on special teams.
Corum wasn't involved on offense behind Kyren Williams, who played 91 percent of offensive snaps, and Ronnie Rivers, who saw nine percent of offensive snaps as the No. 2 running back. As the season progresses Corum, a rookie third-round pick, could usurp Rivers for the backup role, but Williams looks firmly cemented as Los Angeles' featured rusher. Despite the fact that Corum was listed as the Rams' top kick returner, those duties were handled by Jordan Whittington in Week 1. Corum will look to improve his involvement Sunday on the road against Arizona.

Rams' Blake Corum: Listed as top kick returner
Corum is listed as the Rams' top kick returner on their depth chart ahead of Sunday's season opener versus the Lions, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
Corum is coming off an impressive training camp in which he locked up the No. 2 running back role behind Kyren Williams and subsequently was held out of preseason games. Head coach Sean McVay appears ready and willing to deploy both of his top backs on special teams, saying that Corum "has come in and done an outstanding job" while adding that Williams is the Rams' top punt returner in part due to "confidence in [Corum] and Ronnie Rivers being able to spell [Williams] if need be, per Kyle Austin of MLive.com. It's a bit unorthodox to now have Corum also working in the return game, though DaSilva notes that the rookie third-round pick has some experience in that department, having returned 18 kicks with Michigan between the 2020 and 2021 seasons. Williams is coming off an exceptional 2023 breakout campaign in which he dominated backfield reps, but adding special-teams duties to both his and Corum's workloads could necessitate a shift in the Rams' backfield usage.
