Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Set to back up Etienne again
Rotowire
Bigsby (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Colts after logging three limited practices this week, Demetrius Harvey of the Florida Times-Union reports.
Bigsby and Travis Etienne (shoulder) got the same treatment throughout the week, notching a trio of capped sessions apiece before being declared healthy on Friday's injury report. Etienne remains the favorite to get the majority of playing time in Jacksonville's backfield, but Bigsby may have earned a larger role after rushing for 90 yards on just seven carries in the 24-20 Week 4 loss to Houston.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Still limited at practice
Rotowire
Bigsby (shoulder) remained limited at practice Thursday.
As did fellow RB Travis Etienne (shoulder), which sets the stage for Friday's practice to add key context regarding the duo's Week 5 availability. Unless he manages to practice fully, however, Bigsby will presumably carry an injury designation into the weekend.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Limited due to shoulder injury
Rotowire
Bigsby (shoulder) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Mia O'Brien of 1010 XL 92.5 FM Jacksonville reports.
Bigsby has been playing through the shoulder injury since it limited him to only special-teams snaps in a Week 2 loss to Cleveland. He received just seven snaps on offense and two carries Week 3 at Buffalo, but an opportunity opened up Week 4 at Houston, when Travis Etienne suffered a shoulder injury of his own. Although Etienne ultimately returned to the game and led the backfield with 52 percent snap share and 11 carries, it was Bigsby who had the more productive outing, turning 17 snaps into seven carries for 90 yards. Both running backs are now listed as limited practice participants due to shoulder injuries, suggesting that both should be able to play this Sunday against the Colts, albeit perhaps at less than 100 percent. Etienne is faster, quicker and has superior pass-game skills, but Bigsby is making a strong case for a steady role of his own with three gains of 20-plus yards among his 21 carries this season.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Week 5 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
Bigsby looked awesome in Week 4 at Houston with seven carries for 90 yards, and we'll see if he starts taking away more work from Travis Etienne. Bigsby doesn't have any catches or touchdowns this season, but his role could expand if he continues to play like he did against the Texans. And Bigsby would be a lottery ticket if Etienne were to miss any time due to injury. He's worth adding in all leagues for 5-10 percent of your remaining FAB.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Leading rusher in loss
Rotowire
Bigsby carried the ball seven times for 90 yards in Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Texans.
Travis Etienne missed most of the first quarter with a shoulder injury, but Bigsby's biggest gain came in the third as he rumbled for 58 yards on a drive that stalled on Houston's goal line. Etienne didn't play poorly when he was on the field, turning 12 touches into 60 scrimmage yards, but Bigsby's performance could encourage the winless Jaguars to shake things up and go with more of a backfield timeshare in Week 5 against the Colts. The second-year back's touch volume could ultimately depend on Etienne's health, however.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Cleared to play Sunday
Rotowire
Bigsby (shoulder) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Texans and is expected to play.
Bigbsy has been playing through the shoulder issue the last couple weeks. On the year, he has produced a 14-82-0 rushing line behind Travis Etienne in Jacksonville's backfield. Bigsby has yet to draw a single target in the pass game. Bigsby is little more than a fantasy bench stash.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Limited in practice again
Rotowire
Bigsby (shoulder) remained limited in Thursday's practice.
Bigsby managed to play through his lingering shoulder injury during Jacksonville's 47-10 loss to the Bills on Monday, but he's since logged back-to-back limited practice sessions. If the No. 2 running back can gain clearance to suit up for Sunday's pivotal divisional matchup against the Texans, Bigsby will once gain be positioned to act as the primary backup to starting running back Travis Etienne.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Quiet in loss
Rotowire
Bigsby rushed twice for nine yards in Monday's 47-10 loss to the Bills.
Bigsby was mostly an afterthought in what ended up being a rough day for the Jaguars offense. The second-year running back played just nine of Jacksonville's 71 offensive snaps in the contest, far behind starter Travis Etienne, who played 49 snaps. Though Bigsby is tough to rely on for consistent fantasy production, he remains a solid insurance policy to stash in deeper leagues in the event that Etienne were to miss time at any point.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Officially limited in practice
Rotowire
Bigsby (shoulder) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Bigsby wore a non-contact jersey in Thursday's practice, per Harvey. The second-year pro sustained a shoulder injury against the Browns in Week 2, and though he managed to retake the field, that issue could be why Bigsby didn't play any offensive snaps versus Cleveland. Coach Doug Pederson said Thursday that Bigsby would play Monday against the Bills, but it sounds like the Jaguars will be careful with him at practice.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: In line to suit up vs. Bills
Rotowire
Coach Doug Pederson said Thursday that Bigsby (shoulder) is "ok" and will play versus Buffalo on Monday Night Football, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Bigsby didn't play any offensive snaps versus the Browns in Week 2. He suffered a shoulder injury on a kickoff return in the second quarter, but was subsequently able to retake the field. After Bigsby looked solid for Jacksonville in Week 1, it was likely due to the shoulder issue that he wasn't called upon to handle a single carry behind Travis Etienne versus Cleveland, while D'Ernest Johnson rushed five times for 26 yards. It sounds like the 2023 third-round pick will be able to resume handling the No. 2 backfield role versus Buffalo.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: No touches Week 2
Rotowire
Bigsby (shoulder) returned to Sunday's loss against Cleveland but didn't play any offensive snaps.
Bigsby suffered a shoulder injury during the second quarter on a kickoff return, and he was able to return to the contest during the second half. The 2023 third-round pick didn't play any offensive snaps in the game, as D'Ernest Johnson carried five times for 26 yards behind starting running back Travis Etienne. Bigsby had a promising season opener with 12 carries for 73 yards, but his involvement Week 2 left a lot to be desired. Even though he returned to the field, the shoulder injury may have affected Bigsby's role versus the Browns, so he still should be considered Jacksonville's No. 2 running back for now.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Exits Sunday's game
Rotowire
Bigsby was forced out of Sunday's game against the Browns with a shoulder injury.
Prior to his exit from the contest, Bigsby hadn't recorded a carry. In his absence, Travis Etienne and D'Ernest Johnson are available to handle the Jaguars' RB duties.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Stashes (RB Preview)
Rotowire
The top two guys on this list last week were Mason and Irving, Bigsby was third. By the time we get to Week 2, they may all be rostered in too many leagues. Bigsby remains in the stash category because I still think he needs an injury to be a flex. Of course, if Travis Etienne fumbles another game away that could change.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Week 2 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
Bigsby was Jacksonville's best running back in Week 1 at Miami with 12 carries for 73 yards. Travis Etienne, meanwhile, had 12 carries for 44 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 15 yards on three targets. We heard all offseason that Jacksonville wanted to give Bigsby a bigger role, and it played out that way against the Dolphins. He might do enough to be a flex in deeper leagues while Etienne is healthy, and Bigsby could be a lottery ticket if Etienne ever missed any time. Bigsby is worth adding in all leagues for 5-10 percent of your remaining FAB.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Outgains Etienne in loss
Rotowire
Bigsby carried 12 times for 73 yards and wasn't targeted during Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Dolphins.
The 23-year-old put forth the best game of his young career in the season opener, as he matched Travis Etienne in carries and produced 29 more rushing yards. Bigsby's afternoon was highlighted by runs of 26 and 17 yards, both of which exceeded Etienne's long for the day. After a disappointing rookie campaign that saw Bigsby total just 50 carries for 132 yards, it appears he could have a decent role in Jacksonville's offense during 2024 as the No. 2 tailback. He isn't likely to match rushing attempts with Etienne most weeks, but Bigsby could prove to be a viable insurance option if Etienne struggles or suffers an injury.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Stashes (RB Preview)
Rotowire
My favorite stashes rostered in fewer than 25% of leagues are Bigsby, Audric Estime, and Kimani Vidal. Bigsby struggled as a rookie, but he's had a good offseason and looks primed to play the RB2 role they envisioned for him when they drafted him. He has good pedigree and I expect Jacksonville to be an above-average offense. We'd view him as a top-20 back if Travis Etienne misses time.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Improving after rough rookie year
Rotowire
Jaguars running backs coach Jerry Mack said Bigsby's offseason priority has been to "refocus," and that "now things are starting to slow down for him" entering Year 2, Juston Lewis of the Jacksonville Florida Times-Union reports.
Coach Doug Pederson said back in May that the team hopes Bigsby will be able to spell starter Travis Etienne more often during the 2024 season, but for that to happen the 2023 third-round pick will need to improve upon a lackluster rookie performance. Last season, Bigsby logged just 50 carries for 132 yards (2.6 YPC) and two touchdowns across 17 games. Mack noted that as a rookie "everything was extremely fast for [Bigsby]," but said that this offseason "he's understanding the ins and outs of the offense a lot better." D'Ernest Johnson and rookie fifth-round pick Keilan Robinson could offer competition for the No. 2 role, but if Bigsby can indeed improve entering the 2024 campaign and retain a complementary role behind Etienne, he could provide value as a post-hype sleeper in the late rounds of fantasy drafts.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Could spell Etienne more often
Rotowire
Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said last week that he would like Bigsby to get more playing time to "take some of the pounding off of Travis [Etienne]," Demetrius Harvey of the Florida Times-Union reports.
Jaguars brass made similar comments last offseason after drafting Bigsby in the third round, but he had just three games all season with more than three carries and none with more than 17 snaps. A pair of lost fumbles on his first 24 touches didn't help, and the Jaguars eventually preferred D'Ernest Johnson as the running back to give Etienne occasional breathers. While Johnson is back with the team in 2024, Bigsby's combination of draft capital, college production (2,903 rushing yards) and size (six-foot, 213 pounds) should allow him another shot to win the No. 2 role. Whether the Jaguars actually end up trusting him enough to take a significant chunk out of Etienne's workload is another question.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Quiet rookie campaign
Rotowire
Bigsby rushed three times for 16 yards and returned four kickoffs for 99 yards during Jacksonville's Week 18 loss to Tennessee. He finished the season with 50 rushes for 132 yards and two touchdowns plus one catch for six yards.
The rookie third-round pick opened and finished the season as the Jags' primary backup tailback, but he worked in the No. 3 role from Week 12 to Week 16. Starter Travis Etienne played in all 17 games and was the clear workhorse in the backfield, leaving minimal opportunities for Jacksonville's other backs. The only other running back on the roster, D'Ernest Johnson, is set to become a free agent, so Bigsby has a strong chance of opening 2024 in the No. 2 role once again.

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: No touches Week 13
Rotowire
Bigsby played two offensive snaps during Monday's 34-31 loss to the Bengals.
It's just the second time this season the rookie third-round pick didn't receive a carry, as D'Ernest Johnson has settled in as Jacksonville's No. 2 tailback the past few weeks. Travis Etienne remains locked in as the starter, leaving Bigsby in a depth role heading into the final month-plus of the campaign.
