Rams' Jordan Whittington: Trending towards playing Sunday
Whittington (knee) was not listed on the Rams' injury report Wednesday, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
Whittington sat out the Wild Card Round due to a knee injury he suffered in Week 18 versus the Cardinals, but it now appears he'll be ready to go for the Divisional Round against the Bears. However, as long as first-team All Pro Puka Nacua and veteran Davante Adams are available, there probably won't be room for the Rams' other receivers to draw many targets.

Whittington (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Panthers in the wild-card round.
Whittington was sidelined for all three of the Rams' practices this week, leading to him being ruled out Thursday. With Davante Adams back from his hamstring injury, there likely won't be many targets to go around behind Puka Nacua and Adams, with Konata Mumpfield, Xavier Smith and Tutu Atwell left to compete for those looks among wide receivers. For the third time in the last five games, Whittington failed to draw a target on offense. The trio of Rams' backup wideouts combined for just 16 yards on their three targets, which pales in comparison to the 17 targets that starters Puka Nacua and Davante Adams earned, which translated to 11 catches for 196 yards and a pair of Nacua touchdown catches. Matthew Stafford continues to keep his focus heavily weighted towards the duo, generally leaving little to no opportunities for the other wideouts on the team. Xavier Smith's 82-yard performance from last week now seems more like an outlier than a true breakout, leaving Whittington, Smith and Konata Mumpfield hard to trust for fantasy purposes against a Lions squad fighting for a playoff spot in Week 15.

Sunday's game against Carolina marked the third time in the last five games that Whittington was held without a catch, a concerning trend made more troubling by a three-catch, 82-yard performance by Xavier Smith. Whittington secured his only target for nine yards and returned two kicks for 48 yards during Sunday's 21-19 victory against the Seahawks.
The second-year pro saw the field often with Tutu Atwell (hamstring) still on IR and Xavier Smith (concussion) leaving the contest in the first half. The additional playing time didn't amount to anything significant on the stat sheet, although his lone catch was his first since Week 7. With the Buccaneers up next in Week 12, Whittington may be pressed into a bigger role if Smith is unable to clear the concussion protocol, as Atwell won't be available to return until the following week against the Panthers at the earliest. The offense still primarily runs through Puka Nacua and Davante Adams (16 targets out of 25 passing attempts), however, making it difficult to trust Whittington in fantasy lineups.
