Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Struggles in third season
Walker (ankle) rushed 153 times for 573 yards and seven touchdowns and caught 46 passes (on 53 targets) for 299 yards and a touchdown across 11 games in 2024.
Walker popped out of the gate with 103 yards on the ground in the season opener, but he eclipsed the 80-yard rushing mark only one other time the rest of the season. He dealt with multiple injuries, including an ankle injury that ended his season. When the 2022 second-round pick was healthy, he was the clear starting running back ahead of Zach Charbonnet. However, Charbonnet looked solid down the stretch with 60 carries for 303 yards (5.0 YPC) and three touchdowns over the final five games. Walker should be healthy to start the 2025 season -- the final year of his contract -- and he'll need to perform well and stay healthy to stave off Charbonnet.

Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Moves to injured reserve
The Seahawks placed Walker (ankle) on injured reserve Thursday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Walker already was ruled out for Thursday's game at Chicago due to an ankle injury that he sustained in the second half of this past Sunday's loss to the Vikings, but he'll now be out Week 18 and for any playoff matchups that Seattle would have before the NFC Championship Game, assuming the team qualifies and makes it that far. In the meantime, Zach Charbonnet will pace the Seahawks backfield while Kenny McIntosh backs him up.

Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Not playing in Week 17
Walker (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's game at Chicago, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Walker returned from a two-game absence due to a calf injury this past Sunday against the Vikings, but he suffered an ankle issue in the second half and finished Week 16 with 16 touches for 59 yards from scrimmage. Now that the Seahawks have made a decision on his availability for Week 17 action, Walker again will hand off the Seahawks backfield to Zach Charbonnet, who reeled off 259 total yards and three rushing touchdowns on 38 touches when Walker was out Weeks 14 and 15.

Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Sits out practice Tuesday
The Seahawks estimated Walker (ankle) as a non-participant during Tuesday's walk-through practice, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Walker was a spectator for the team's second walkthrough of the week after tweaking his ankle in Seattle's 27-24 loss to Minnesota on Sunday. The running back could be in danger of missing his fifth game of the season this Thursday in Chicago. if that's the case, Zach Charbonnet (elbow) -- who was listed as a full participant Tuesday -- could be tasked with handling a three-down role in Week 17.
