Jones missed the final three playoff games for the Chiefs last season due to a chest injury he sustained in the wild-card round against the Dolphins. He was back on the field for Kansas City's preseason opener, when he played 39 snaps (29 on defense, 10 on special teams). Jones played mostly on special teams last season, and he's looking to make the Chiefs' 53-man roster in a depth linebacker role.

Jones sustained a concussion in Saturday's 33-32 preseason win over the Browns, Pete Sweeney of SB Nation reports.
He suffered the injury while tackling Browns running back Hassan Hall in the fourth quarter. Head coach Andy Reid noted after the game that the injury is one that Jones will "be able to come back from." Jones finished the game with seven tackles (five solo) and a pass deflection.
