Saints' Nick Saldiveri: Moved to IR
The Saints placed Saldiveri (knee) on injured reserve Saturday, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.
Saldiveri hurt his knee against the Rams last Sunday and had to be carted to the locker room. He's now set to sit out at least four contests. Saldiveri will be eligible to return to action Week 18 against Tampa Bay on Sunday, Jan. 5, but with the Saints currently sitting on a 4-8 record and a longshot to contend for the postseason, the left guard's campaign could be over.

Saldiveri (shoulder) did not practice Friday and has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Chargers, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Saldiveri suffered a shoulder injury during the Saints' Week 7 loss to the Broncos. He is considered week-to-week with the injury, and him being ruled out for Sunday's contest comes as no surprise after he was unable to practice all week. Kyle Hergel filled in for Saldiveri following the latter's exit in Week 7, and the former could start at left guard for Sunday's game.

Saints' Nick Saldiveri: Considered week to week
Coach Dennis Allen said Friday that Saldiveri (shoulder) is week to week after being injured in Thursday night's loss to the Broncos, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
With injuries ahead of him on the depth chart on the Saints' interior line, Saldiveri had started the last three games for New Orleans. After Saldiveri left Thursday night's game, Kyle Hergel replaced him at left guard alongside fill-in center Connor McGovern.

Saldiveri got hurt during minicamp last month, but he is now healthy once again. The 2023 fourth-round pick is in line to serve as New Orleans' starting left guard once the new campaign begins.

Saints' Nick Saldiveri: Dealing with groin issue
Head coach Dennis Allen told reporters Wednesday that Saldiveri sustained a groin injury while doing individual drills at New Orleans' mandatory minicamp, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
Allen also noted that the injury doesn't appear to be serious. Saldiveri, a second-year offensive lineman out of Old Dominion, appeared in four games and played 37 total snaps during his rookie campaign. Once Saldiveri returns to the field, he's expected to compete for the Saints' starting left guard spot, following Andrus Peat's departure earlier this offseason.
