Ameer Speed: Released, joins practice squad
Speed was waived by the Colts on Tuesday before signing with their practice squad Wednesday, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Speed will stick around Indianapolis after compiling nine total tackles (seven solo) with the team during the preseason. The cornerback will provide the Colts with an additional depth option in case of injury on the active roster.
