Dolphins' Jaylen Wright: Gets just five carries in NFL debut
Wright carried five times for four yards in the Dolphins' 31-10 loss to the Bills in Week 2.
Wright played 18 of the Dolphins' 76 snaps on offense in the loss, but 10 of those snaps came in the fourth quarter, when the Bills already had the game well in hand. Though the absence of Raheem Mostert (chest) opened up an opportunity for Wright to suit up Thursday after he had been inactive for the Week 1 win over the Jaguars, the rookie fourth-round pick wasn't able to capture meaningful playing time while the Dolphins leaned heavily on De'Von Achane as their lead back and also sprinkled in Jeff Wilson (11 snaps). Mostert and Wilson (oblique) both opened the week as a limited participants in practice Wednesday, and it may take an absence from either of the two backs in order for Wright to suit up Sunday in Seattle.

Dolphins' Jaylen Wright: Active versus Bills
Wright is active for Thursday night's game against the Bills, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Wright was a healthy scratch Week 1, but he'll enter Miami's backfield mix Thursday with Raheem Mostert (chest) inactive. Meanwhile, De'Von Achane (ankle), who had been listed as questionable, is active and figures to see his share of touches in the absence of any setbacks, with Jeff Wilson also a candidate to see increased work versus Buffalo. With that in mind, it remains to be seen how many touches Wright will handle in his NFL regular-season debut, but the speedy fourth-round rookie does possess intriguing playmaking upside in Miami's offense.

Dolphins' Jaylen Wright: Likely to make NFL debut Thursday
Wright, who was a healthy inactive Week 1, seems likely to suit up for Thursday's matchup with the Bills due to Raheem Mostert (chest) being ruled out and De'Von Achane (ankle) being a game-time decision, Chris Brown of the Bills Radio Network reports.
Wright, a rookie fourth-round pick, boasts explosiveness but not experience over 28-year-old veteran Jeff Wilson, but both players will stand to see expanded opportunities Thursday with Mostert ruled out. Depending on Achane's status for Week 2, it could even fall to Wright and Wilson to handle the entirety of Miami's backfield workload, in which case the team might have no choice other than to ride the hot hand. Wright impressed in the preseason and boasts 4.38-second 40-yard dash speed, making him a big-play candidate even on limited touches.

Dolphins' Jaylen Wright: Won't suit up Week 1
Wright (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
Though the Dolphins invested a fourth-round pick into him during April's draft and he impressed out of the backfield in Miami's preseason finale, Wright will have to wait at least another week to make his NFL debut. With starter Raheem Mostert and change-of-pace dynamo De'Von Achane both entering the season healthy, the Dolphins won't have much of a role on offense available for Wright. The Tennessee product also didn't lock down a special-teams role coming out of the preseason, so Jeff Wilson will dress ahead of Wright as the Dolphins' No. 3 back.
