Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Catches both targets Sunday
Dortch gathered in both targets for 11 yards during Sunday's 41-10 victory against the Rams.
After pacing the Cardinals in catches (six) and receiving yards (47) in the season-opening loss at Buffalo, Dortch was usurped by rookie fourth overall pick Marvin Harrison, who broke out with four catches (on eight targets) for 130 yards and two touchdowns Sunday. Dortch remained No. 3 in the WR pecking order behind Harrison and Michael Wilson, but his snap share fell from 61 percent Week 1 to 39 percent this past weekend. Dortch's next chance to produce arrives Sunday versus the Lions.

Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Leading receiver in Week 1 loss
Dortch caught six of eight targets for 47 yards and added a four-yard rush in Sunday's 34-28 loss to the Bills. He also had a six-yard punt return.
Dortch led the Cardinals in catches and receiving yards while finishing one target shy of Trey McBride's team-leading total. The slot receiver's significant Week 1 involvement was encouraging, but rookie fourth overall pick Marvin Harrison had just four yards on three targets in his NFL debut, and Harrison will almost certainly be significantly more involved on the outside moving forward. The Cardinals will host the Rams in Week 2.

Cardinals' Greg Dortch: No action in preseason opener
Dortch didn't suit up for Saturday's preseason game versus the Saints.
Dortch was listed as a starting wide receiver on the Cardinals' first unofficial depth chart of training camp alongside rookie first-round pick Marvin Harrison and second-year pro Michael Wilson. After going undrafted in 2019 and not seeing an offensive snap until 2021 with Arizona, Dortch has worked his way into a regular role in the offense the last two seasons, accounting for 76 catches (on 105 targets) for 747 yards and four touchdowns in 32 regular-season games during that stretch. Coach Jonathan Gannon expressed confidence in Dortch this past Tuesday, telling Darren Urban of the team's official site, "He's going to have a big year, guys." In addition to his upcoming role on offense, Dortch is expected to be a part of the return mix as well, boasting career averages of 21.0 yards on 37 kick returns and 8.0 yards on 62 punt returns.

Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Working with starting offense
Dortch has been working with the first-team offense, PHNX Sports reports.
The 5-foot-7 slot man started off as a backup the past two seasons but usually got a good number of targets when injuries thrust him into a top-three role. The Cardinals apparently liked what they saw and now have Dortch positioned to open the year getting regular slot snaps, albeit with free-agent signing Zay Jones lingering as a threat to fill in if Dortch slips up. Jones has mostly worked with backups early in training camp, and he might be more of a threat to perimeter receiver Michael Wilson than to Dortch.
