  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Officially placed on IR

The Jets have placed Lazard (chest) on IR, Ethan Greenberg of the team's official site reports. As a result, the soonest Lazard can return to action is Sunday, Dec. 8 against the Dolphins. While Lazard is sidelined, Garrett Wilson, Davante Adams and Mike Williams will continue to lead the Jets' wideout corps, with Xavier Gipson, Irvin Charles and Malachi Corley in reserve.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Reportedly headed to IR

The Jets are slated to place Lazard (chest) on IR, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Once the anticipated move is official, Lazard will be in line to miss at least four games, with his earliest possible return date being Sunday, Dec. 8 against the Dolphins. In Lazard's looming absence, Garrett Wilson, Davante Adams and Mike Williams will continue to lead the Jets' wideout corps. Prior to sustaining his injury, Lazard caught 30 of his 44 targets for 412 yards and five TDs in seven games.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Won't play Thursday

Lazard (chest) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Texans. Lazard will miss his second game in a row, with his next chance to suit up arriving Nov. 10 against the Cardinals. In his continued absence, Garrett Wilson, Davante Adams and Mike Williams will continue to lead the Jets' wideout corps in Week 9.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Labeled non-participant in practice

Lazard (chest) was listed as a non-participant on Tuesday's practice estimate, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Lazard's listing on Tuesday's report comes as no surprise, after interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich previously said the receiver is considered week-to-week. The 28-year-old appears unlikely to play Thursday against the Texans, but the Jets will provide official word on his status when they release their final Week 9 injury report Wednesday. If Lazard misses a second straight contest, Mike Williams would be in line to serve as the Jets' No. 3 wideout behind Davante Adams and Garrett Wilson.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Inactive versus Patriots

Lazard (chest) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Lazard, who didn't practice this past week, headed into the weekend listed as doubtful, so it's no surprise that he'll be sidelined versus the Patriots. In his absence, Mike Williams figures to join top WR options Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams in three-receiver sets, with added opportunities in the slot potentially on tap for Xavier Gipson when Wilson shifts to the outside. Also in the Jets' Week 8 WR mix are Xavier Gipson, Irvin Charles and Malachi Corley.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Doubtful for Week 8

Lazard (chest) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Lazard hasn't practiced in any fashion during the week, so it would be a surprise if he was able to play. If Lazard sits, Mike Williams figures to join Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams in three-receiver sets, with extra opportunities possibly available for Xavier Gipson in the slot when Wilson shifts to the outside.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Misses practice again

Lazard (chest) is not participating in Thursday's practice, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Lazard has now missed back-to-back practices due to a chest injury, a development that casts genuine uncertainty over his status for Sunday's road matchup against New England. If Lazard isn't able to suit up Week 8, Garrett Wilson and new teammate Davante Adams will possess a clearer path than usual to working as the unquestioned top targets in the wide receiver room for quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Four targets in Adams' debut

Lazard caught all four of his targets for 58 yards in Sunday's 37-15 loss to the Steelers. Lazard has dropped a peg on the totem pole after the acquisition of Davante Adams. That new reality was apparent in Sunday's loss, as Lazard had only four targets while Adams, Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall finished with nine apiece. Lazard's chemistry with Aaron Rodgers should continue to earn the former Green Bay wideout some downfield opportunities, but Lazard seems poised to slow down dramatically after a hot start that saw him catch five touchdowns through Week 6. One of those touchdowns came against the Patriots, whom the Jets will face again in Week 8.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Catches 52-yard touchdown

Lazard caught six of seven targets for 114 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 23-20 loss to the Bills. Lazard was on the receiving end of a play that will likely end up on Aaron Rodgers' career highlight reel -- a 52-yard Hail Mary to close out the first half. The 28-year-old wide receiver has struggled with drops since joining the Jets last season but was sure-handed Monday, and he added another difficult catch for a 25-yard gain in the fourth quarter. Lazard continues to work well ahead of Mike Williams as the Jets' No. 2 option at receiver behind Garrett Wilson. Heading into a Week 7 trip to Pittsburgh, Lazard has racked up 354 receiving yards and five touchdowns in six games, already surpassing last season's meager totals of 311 yards and one touchdown in 14 games.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Week 6 Waiver Priority List

We'll see if the Jets make a trade this week to acquire Davante Adams, which would clearly limit the upside for Lazard. But it's hard to overlook what Lazard has done this season with a touchdown in three of five games, and he's scored at least 13.4 PPR points in those outings when he's found the end zone. He also has 18 targets in his past two games against Denver and Minnesota, and he can be a No. 3 Fantasy receiver against Buffalo as long as Adams isn't a member of the Jets. Lazard is worth adding in all leagues for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Finds end zone in loss

Lazard recorded four receptions on 10 targets for 34 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Vikings. Lazard finished second on the team with 10 targets and now has at least eight targets in three of five games on the season. He's topped 60 yards only once, though he remains a trusted option for Aaron Rodgers near the end zone as he managed his fourth touchdown catch of the campaign on a 14-yard snag just before halftime. Garrett Wilson will be the top target for Rodgers nearly every week, but Lazard has held off Mike Williams as a priority for opportunity to this point.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Week 5 Waiver Priority List

Lazard has scored at least 10.8 PPR points in three of four games this season and has three touchdowns. I hope we start to see more from Mike Williams (31 percent rostered), who just had a season-high 10.7 PPR points in Week 4, and clearly Garrett Wilson. But Lazard and Williams could be potential No. 3 Fantasy receivers during the bye, with Lazard having a slight edge for now. And the Jets have a favorable matchup in Week 5 at Minnesota. Lazard is worth 5 percent of your remaining FAB, and Williams is worth 1 percent.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Five catches in Week 4 loss

Lazard caught five of eight targets for 58 yards in Sunday's 10-9 loss to the Broncos. A holding penalty on Lazard erased what would have been the game's first first down by either team on a Braelon Allen run late in the first quarter, but Lazard made amends by drawing a pass-interference penalty in the end zone on the next play. Lazard also picked up the first passing first down for either team with a 25-yard catch shortly after the two-minute warning in the first half, and he ultimately tied for the team lead in targets with Garrett Wilson and Tyler Conklin while finishing second to Mike Williams (67) in receiving yards. While Lazard was one of the team's most productive players in a rough day for the Jets' offense, he was also flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the third quarter. Therefore, the veteran receiver will look to put forth a more disciplined performance when the Jets travel to London to face the Vikings in Week 5.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Week 4 Adds (WR Preview)

I would expect Pat Surtain to line up opposite Garrett Wilson, and he's shut down just about everyone he has faced. That should mean more volume for Lazard, who has already established himself as Rodgers' preferred end-zone target. Lazard is a good WR3 with top-20 upside if he scores.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Another TD in win

Lazard secured all three targets for 48 yards and a touchdown in the Jets' 24-3 win over the Patriots on Thursday night. Lazard and Aaron Rodgers had recreated some of their old Packers magic in Week 1 against the 49ers, but the former had been held to just 11 receiving yards in Week 2. However, the chemistry was reignited Thursday night, with Lazard finishing with the second-highest receiving yardage total on the night for New York and bringing in a 10-yard scoring grab with 4:21 remaining in the first quarter. The seventh-year wideout had 11- and 27-yard catches on his other two receptions, so even with the downfield presence of Mike Williams on the field, it appears there's room for Lazard to thrive with his old Green Bay battery mate.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Just 11 yards in Week 2 win

Lazard caught two of four targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Titans. Lazard came back down to earth after a two-touchdown season debut. He played 82 percent of the offensive snaps, but Mike Williams' snap share jumped from 18 to 65 percent, and the former Charger figures to surpass Lazard as the No. 2 wide receiver behind Garrett Wilson once he's fully up to speed. Lazard's proficient blocking and chemistry with Aaron Rodgers should keep him on the field, but the sell-high window on the veteran wideout may have already slammed shut ahead of Thursday's home opener against the Patriots.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Week 2 Waiver Priority List

Mike Williams (51 percent rostered) is likely the better Jets receiver to stash since he could play a prominent role when fully healthy, but he's still working his way back from last year's torn ACL. Williams was used more as a decoy in Week 1 at San Francisco and didn't receive a target. Lazard, meanwhile, had a huge game with six catches for 89 yards and two touchdowns on nine targets, but one score came on a free play when the 49ers jumped offsides, with the second touchdown in garbage time from Tyrod Taylor. Don't chase this production from Lazard, but he is worth adding for 1 percent of your remaining FAB to see what happens until Williams is back to his normal self.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Scores twice in Rodgers' return

Lazard caught six of nine targets for 89 yards and two touchdowns in Monday's 32-19 loss to the 49ers. Early on, Lazard looked like the same player that caught just 23 of 49 targets for 311 yards last season, as he dropped a catchable ball on third down to end the Jets' opening drive and finished without a catch on two first-half targets. He turned things around in the second half, rekindling his chemistry with Aaron Rodgers from their Packers days with a 26-yard catch and a 36-yard touchdown reception in a four-play span. Lazard added a three-yard touchdown catch in the final minute from backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor, who replaced Rodgers for mop-up duty with the game out of reach. It took Lazard just one game to double last season's touchdown total, and he should continue to play a prominent role Week 2 against the Titans, as the Jets are bringing fellow wide receiver Mike Williams (zero targets) along slowly early in the season as Williams recovers from last September's ACL tear.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Sits first two preseason games

Lazard didn't play in Saturday's 15-12 preseason win over the Panthers. Lazard is among numerous offensive players who have sat out the Jets' first two preseason games. Despite mustering a meager 311 receiving yards in 2023, he's a lock to make the team in 2024, and the 28-year-old wide receiver is hoping that the return of Aaron Rodgers under center will elevate the entire offense. Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams (knee) are projected to open the season as starters on the outside with Lazard -- who had 788 yards and six touchdowns with Rodgers as his quarterback in Green Bay in 2022 -- in a bench role.

  • Jets' Allen Lazard: Big-money bust in 2023

Lazard finished the season with 23 catches for 311 yards and one touchdown on 49 targets. Lazard signed a four-year, $44 million contract with the Jets in the offseason and was expected to offer a familiar face on the outside for Aaron Rodgers, but after Rodgers tore his Achilles in Week 1, Lazard failed to establish any chemistry with New York's other quarterbacks despite handling a starting role on the outside for most of the season. He appeared in 14 games, sitting two out as a healthy scratch and missing one due to an illness. The Jets have almost no choice but to bring Lazard back given his contract, but they'll almost certainly look for an upgrade at wide receiver to start opposite Garrett Wilson and push Lazard down the depth chart in 2024.
