Panthers' Jadeveon Clowney: Gets over illness
Clowney (illness) wasn't on the Panthers' injury report Wednesday ahead of Sunday's Week 1 game against the Saints.
Clowney missed practice earlier in the week due to an illness, but he appears to have recorvered in time for Carolina's Week 1 contest. The 2014 first-overall pick inked a two-year, $20 million deal with the Panthers this past offseason after recording 9.5 sacks across 17 regular-season games with the Ravens in 2023. He's expected to start as the Panthers' top edge rusher heading into 2024.

Panthers' Jadeveon Clowney: Misses Monday's practice
Clowney (illness) wasn't participating in Monday's practice, Alex Zietlow of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Despite Clowney missing Monday's practice due to an illness, he's expected to be ready for the Panthers' Week 1 contest against the Saints on Sunday. If the 2014 first overall pick is held out of more practices this week, expect K'Lavon Chaisson to work as one of Carolina's first-team edge rushers.
