Jets' Tyron Smith: Gets vet rest day
Smith got a veteran rest day Thursday and was a limited participant in practice, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
The starting left tackle missed a day of practice early in training camp with an undisclosed injury but is not injured now. Smith should be in line to start Monday night against the 49ers. The five-time All-Pro has started all 161 games he's played in during his career.

Jets' Tyron Smith: Unavailable for team drills
Smith (undisclosed) was not on the field for team drills at training camp Tuesday, Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.
Smith hasn't worked on the field for three days as a result of undisclosed tightness, according to head coach Robert Saleh. Smith is coming off of a resurgent 2023 campaign with the Cowboys, but he's dealt with injuries in recent years, so the developments at camp with New York are somewhat alarming.
