Lions' Kevin Zeitler: Won't play NFC divisional round
Zeitler (hamstring) has been ruled out for Saturday's NFC divisional-round clash against the Commanders, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Zeitler injured his right hamstring in the fourth quarter of the Lions' Week 18 win over the Vikings. Even with the Lions' first-round playoff bye, Zeitler wasn't able to progress enough in his recovery to participate in practice this week. Christian Mahogany and Kayode Awosika are the presumed top candidates to start at right guard Saturday due to Zeitler's absence.

Lions' Kevin Zeitler: Injures hamstring Sunday
Zeitler suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday night's 31-9 win over the Vikings.
Zeitler pulled up lame on Detroit's final possession of the game, ultimately exiting the contest in the fourth quarter with a right hamstring injury. The offensive lineman will look to rest and recover in time to play in the Lions' next contest in two weeks for a matchup in the NFC divisional round. If Zeitler is unable to go, Christian Mahogany would be a top candidate to draw a start at offensive guard in the playoffs.
