Lakers' Gabe Vincent: Iffy for Saturday
Vincent (knee) has been listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Bulls, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Vincent has been managing a left knee issue and could miss Saturday's matchup against Chicago. If Vincent is ultimately ruled out, the Lakers will likely turn to Jordan Goodwin, Shake Milton and Bronny James to help shoulder the load in the backcourt.

Lakers' Dorian Finney-Smith: Probable to play Saturday
Finney-Smith (ankle) is probable for Saturday's game against the Bulls, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Finney-Smith has been a regular starter for the Lakers since the All-Star break, and he's likely to return to action Saturday alongside most of the starters who sat Thursday's loss to the Bucks. Finney-Smith has averaged 9.1 points and 4.0 rebounds per game since the beginning of March.

Lakers' Rui Hachimura: Questionable for Saturday
Hachimura (knee) has been listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Bulls, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Hachimura has missed the last 12 games for the Lakers while nursing a left knee issue, but he might be able to return to the floor Saturday. The 26-year-old forward is having a solid season, averaging 13.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game while shooting 50.6 percent from the floor and 41 percent from deep.

Lakers' Jarred Vanderbilt: Likely to play Saturday
Vanderbilt (groin) is probable for Saturday's game against the Bulls, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Vanderbilt is expected to return to action after missing Thursday's loss to the Bucks due to a right groin strain. The big man has averaged 5.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.2 steals across 16.4 minutes per game in his last five outings.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Probable for Saturday
Reaves (ankle) is probable for Saturday's game against the Bulls, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Reaves was one of several regulars who sat Thursday's loss to Milwaukee, but the probable tag suggests he's likely to return to the hardwood Saturday and handle his regular workload. Reaves has been forced to step into the role of the No. 2 option on offense due to the absence of LeBron James (groin), and he's averaging 23.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game since the beginning of March.

Lakers' LeBron James: Questionable to face Chicago
James (groin) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Bulls, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
James is questionable to snap a seven-game absence streak due to a left groin strain. However, head coach JJ Redick said Thursday that he's hopeful the superstar will suit up, per Mark Medina of TheSportingTribune.com. If James remains on the shelf, Dalton Knecht and Jordan Goodwin will likely continue to receive a bump in minutes.

Lakers' Luka Doncic: Likely to play vs. Chicago
Doncic (ankle) has been listed as probable for Saturday's game against the Bulls, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
After missing Thursday's loss to the Bucks to nurse a sprained right ankle, Doncic is trending toward playing in Saturday's game against Chicago. The superstar guard seems to be back to form offensively, averaging 26.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.9 steals per game while shooting 40.5 percent from the floor and 34.2 percent from deep in the 16 games he's played since being traded to the Lakers.

Lakers' Alex Len: Nears double-double in defeat
Len logged 10 points (4-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-4 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and one steal across 17 minutes during Thursday's 118-89 loss to the Bucks.
Len stepped into the rotation after recording a DNP via coach's decision in each of the club's last three outings. The big man nearly recorded a double-double and was efficient in the blowout loss. However, Len is unlikely to stick around in the rotation whenever Dorian Finney-Smith (ankle) and Jarred Vanderbilt (groin) return.

Lakers' Rui Hachimura: Could be back Saturday
Lakers head coach JJ Redick said Thursday that he's hopeful Hachimura (knee) will be available to play Saturday against the Bulls, Mark Medina of TheSportingTribune.com reports.
While he continues to recover from left patellar tendinopathy, Hachimura missed his 12th straight game in Thursday's 118-89 loss to the Bucks, but the veteran forward looks to be closing in on a return to action. Hachimura resumed taking part in 3-on-3 on-court work earlier this week, and if he's able to increase his activity Friday, the Lakers could give him the green light to suit up Saturday. If Hachimura plays against the Bulls, he'll likely be operating with a minutes restriction. He's started in all 50 of his appearances on the season, averaging 13.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.7 three-pointers and 1.5 assists in 32.1 minutes per contest while shooting 50.6 percent from the field and 76.5 percent from the free-throw line.

Lakers' Trey Jemison: Plays 16 minutes in return
Jemison (illness) recorded four points (2-3 FG) and five rebounds across 16 minutes Thursday in the Lakers' 118-89 loss to the Bucks.
After missing each of the Lakers' last four games while recovering from an illness, Jemison made his return to the rotation Thursday, stepping in as the backup to Jaxson Hayes. A two-way player, Jemison will be eligible to be active for just eight of the Lakers' remaining 13 contests, so he could be in store for some unannounced absences over the next few weeks. Even if he wasn't approaching his active games limit, Jemison likely would have been at risk of falling out of the rotation in the near future anyway with Rui Hachimura (knee) and LeBron James (groin) set to return from multi-game absences as soon as Saturday.

Lakers' Bronny James: Pops for career-high 17 in loss
James racked up 17 points (7-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, five assists and one block in 30 minutes off the bench during Thursday's 118-89 loss to the Bucks.
The Lakers were missing almost their entire starting five for this one, including Bronny's dad LeBron James (groin) and Luka Doncic (ankle), and the 20-year-old wound up tying fellow rookie Dalton Knecht for the team scoring lead on the night. The 30 minutes and 17 points were both career highs for Bronny, but the younger James remains little more than a depth option when the roster is closer to full strength -- he's seen court time in just eight of the Lakers' 23 games since the beginning of February, and handled double-digit minutes only twice.

Lakers' Dalton Knecht: Hits for 17 in spot start
Knecht amassed 17 points (5-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal across 31 minutes during Thursday's 118-89 loss to the Bucks.
With almost the entire Lakers starting five in street clothes, including LeBron James (groin) and Luka Doncic (ankle), Knecht tied fellow rookie Bronny James for the team scoring lead. Knecht has found a rhythm in March, scoring in double digits in nine of 11 contests (three starts) while averaging 14.4 points, 3.6 boards, 2.7 threes and 1.5 assists and shooting 41.1 percent from long distance.

Lakers' Markieff Morris: Making first start of season
Morris is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Bucks, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
Morris has barely played this season, but he'll get the starting nod for the second night of this back-to-back set since the Lakers will be extremely depleted in the frontcourt. This will be the 14-year veteran's first start of the season.

Lakers' Dalton Knecht: Joining starters Thursday
Knecht is starting Thursday's game against the Bucks, Daniel Starkand of LakersNation.com reports.
Knecht will run with the first unit while the majority of the LA starters are sidelined for the second night of a back-to-back set. The Tennessee product put together a big night in his last opportunity to start last Friday against the Nuggets, putting up 32 points in 37 minutes of action.

Lakers' Gabe Vincent: Running with first unit
Vincent is starting Thursday's game against the Bucks, Daniel Starkand of LakersNation.com reports.
Vincent is starting at point guard while Luka Doncic gets the night to rest. Vincent's last start dates back to March 13, also against the Bucks, when he was held to six points, one rebound and one assist in 26 minutes.

Lakers' Jarred Vanderbilt: Sitting out Thursday
Vanderbilt (groin) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Bucks, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports.
Vanderbilt evidently picked up a groin injury during Wednesday's game against the Nuggets and will be held out of Thursday's matchup as a result. Dorian Finney-Smith (ankle) has also been ruled out, so it'll be up to Cam Reddish, Trey Jemison and Alex Len to pick up the slack in the frontcourt.

Lakers' Dorian Finney-Smith: Won't play Thursday
Finney-Smith (ankle) is out for Thursday's game against the Bucks, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports.
Finney-Smith had started in nine of the Lakers' previous 11 games, but he becomes the latest casualty in a depleted roster, as Rui Hachimura (knee), Jarred Vanderbilt (groin), LeBron James (groin), Luka Doncic (ankle) and Austin Reaves (ankle) will also be out. Players such as Dalton Knecht, Jordan Goodwin, Gabe Vincent, Shake Milton and even Bronny James will likely see an uptick in minutes as a result of this plethora of absences. Finney-Smith's next chance to play will come against the Bulls on Saturday.

Lakers' LeBron James: Hoping to play Saturday
Lakers head coach JJ Redick said Thursday that he's hopeful that James (groin) will be cleared to play Saturday against the Bulls, Mark Medina of TheSportingTribune.com reports.
James, who hasn't played since March 8 and was ruled out 24 hours in advance of Thursday's game against the Bucks, took part in a pre-game workout ahead of and must have looked sharp to warrant this comment from Redick. The medical staff will presumably keep a close eye on how James bounces back from Thursday's workout, but assuming he doesn't suffer any setbacks, the star forward should be in a position to suit up Saturday.
