Jackson is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Bulls, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports. Jackson will return to the bench due to the return of Andrew Nembhard to the first unit. The former Texas A&M standout is averaging 4.7 points and 1.1 rebounds per game when coming off the bench, so his fantasy upside will undoubtedly take a hit since he won't be in the lineup.

Jackson will come off the bench in Sunday's matchup against Memphis, Tony East of SI.com reports. With Andrew Nembhard (knee) making his return to game action, Jackson will retreat to the bench. • Pacers' Quenton Jackson: Notches 12 points in win

Jackson finished with 12 points (4-8 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 0-2 FT), two rebounds, four assists and one steal over 32 minutes during Monday's 114-110 victory over the Pelicans. Jackson was coming off a scoreless dud against the Wizards on Sunday but responded with his second-best performance of his rookie season. Fantasy managers probably shouldn't look at him as anything more than a short-term streamer in deeper leagues, as the Pacers are expecting Aaron Nesmith (ankle) and Andrew Nembhard (knee) back in December.

  • Pacers' Quenton Jackson: Lands season-high 24 points

Jackson amassed 24 points (10-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 130-113 loss to the Rockets. Jackson moved into the starting lineup for the first time this season, going off for a season-high 24 points. The Pacers are without a number of regular guards, affording Jackson with a great opportunity. While he was able to capitalize, keep in mind he had scored a total of just 28 points in six games to begin the campaign. As a player who is not even a consistent part of the rotation, we would need to see a lot more of this before declaring him a reliable asset.

Jackson has been a consistent performer for the Go-Go despite coming off the bench most of the time, playing at least 20 minutes in every contest and scoring in double digits in five of his seven appearances to date in the regular season. Jackson had 19 points (6-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, five assists and five steals across 27 minutes off the bench in Friday's win over Austin. Jackson has proven he can perform adequately off the bench from time to time, but this was one of his best outings of the entire campaign since he led the team in scoring while also delivering value as a passer and on defense. He should continue to perform off the bench for Capital City, but he's not expected to jump into the starting unit any time soon.
