Hornets' Brandon Miller: Good to go Monday
Miller (glute) is available to play in Monday's game against the Timberwolves, Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com reports.
Miller will play through a left glute strain Monday, though he will likely remain a mainstay on the injury report for a bit due to the injury. The second-year pro played through the injury in Saturday's loss to Boston, during which he tallied 16 points (6-8 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six assists, four rebounds, two steals and a block in 31 minutes.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Back on injury report
Miller (glute) is questionable for Monday's game against the Timberwolves.
Following a four-game absence, Miller returned to action Saturday against the Celtics and posted 16 points (6-8 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six assists, four rebounds, two steals and a block in 31 minutes. The left glute strain will likely make Miller a regular on the injury report for a bit. However, the second-year forward played well in his return and didn't have any restrictions, a good sign for his availability moving forward.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Shoots poorly, but fills up box score
Miller (glute) scored 16 points (6-18 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and added six assists, four rebounds, two steals and one block across 31 minutes in Saturday's 113-103 loss to the Celtics.
In his return from a four-game absence due to the left glute strain he suffered in the Hornets' Oct. 23 season opener, Miller wasn't operating with many restrictions, as he narrowly edged out Miles Bridges for third on the team in playing time behind LaMelo Ball (37 minutes) and Grant Williams (34 minutes). Miller inflicted damage on fantasy managers' percentages in his second appearance of the season, but his 26.8 percent usage rate and strong contributions across the stat sheet were encouraging takeaways. In his second season, Miller could be primed to usurp Bridges as the Hornets' No. 2 option behind Ball.

The Hornets exercised the third-year team option on Miller's (hip) contract Wednesday.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: To be re-evaluated in one week
Miller (hip), who has been ruled out of Friday's matchup against the Hawks, will be re-evaluated in one week, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Leads all scorers in loss
Miller produced 20 points (6-10 FG, 5-7 3PT, 3-3 FT), one assist and one steal in 19 minutes during Thursday's preseason loss to the Pacers.
Miller continues to shine on the offensive end, leading all scorers despite the loss. Even with the return of LaMelo Ball, it appears as though Miller is not going to be shy when it comes to getting shots up. Although his overall game remains a little unproven, Miller is firming as a solid mid-round target in standard league drafts.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Another strong outing
Miller recorded 26 points (10-20 FG, 6-11 3Pt), five rebounds and three assists in 29 minutes during Tuesday's 111-105 preseason loss to the Knicks.
Miller shot an impressive 37.3 percent from three as a rookie and is showing this preseason that he can improve upon that number in 2024-25. With LaMelo Ball back in action to run the offense, Miller could establish himself as one of the best young scorers in the NBA.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Drills six threes in blowout
Miller logged 22 points (8-13 FG, 608 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and a steal across 24 minutes in Thursday's 119-94 win over the Grizzlies.
Miller's shot betrayed him in his second preseason game, but he more than made up for it with a masterful team-leading performance Thursday night. Were it not for Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren, Miller would have been a shoo-in for Rookie of the Year recognition. The Alabama product took advantage of the opportunity given by LaMelo Ball's absence to take over backcourt duties. We won't see much of Ball in the preseason, so we'll have to wait a bit to see how Ball's return might adjust Miller's role. He'll most likely work as the off-guard while Ball re-assumes the job as the floor general.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Struggles from deep Tuesday
Miller tallied seven points (2-13 FG, 1-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 25 minutes in Tuesday's 111-108 preseason win over the Heat.
The No. 2 pick of the 2023 NBA Draft was on the floor for 25 minutes Tuesday, the most out of the Hornets' starting five. He shot 37.3 percent from three on 6.7 3PA/G in his rookie season, but he struggled from deep during Tuesday's win, and across his two preseason outings, he's gone 4-for-17 from beyond the arc. Miller will look to improve on his rookie campaign, during which he averaged 17.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 0.9 steals across 32.2 minutes per game.

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Scores 12 in preseason opener
Miller finished Sunday's preseason opener against the Knicks with 12 points (3-8 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, three assists and a block in 21 minutes.
Entering his second NBA season, expectations are high for Miller, who averaged 19.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals over the final 42 games of his rookie campaign. During that sample, Miller shot over 45 percent from the field and hit 2.9 threes per game at a 37.2 percent clip. While the return of a healthy LaMelo Ball could trim into Miller's usage this season, Ball's presence as a playmaker and setup man figures to benefit the No. 2 pick in the 2023 draft.
