  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Not starting Wednesday

Walker is not starting for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports. As expected, Walker will return to his regular bench role since the Pacers will start their regular pairing of Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner in the frontcourt. Walker is averaging just 3.2 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 11.1 minutes over 10 games since the All-Star break.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Good to go against Dallas

Walker (ankle) is available for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks, Tony East of WTHR Channel 13 Indianapolis reports. Despite dealing with a sprained right ankle, Walker is good to go Wednesday but will likely revert back to the bench in the return of Pascal Siakam (personal). Walker started Monday's game against Minnesota, but he's averaged just 3.2 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 11.1 minutes over 10 games since the All-Star break.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Iffy for Wednesday

Walker (ankle) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against Dallas. Walker presumably sustained the right ankle sprain during Monday's overtime win over Minnesota, during which he limped to the bench after an awkward landing, per Tony East of WTHR Channel 13 Indianapolis. If the 21-year-old forward is sidelined Wednesday, Ben Sheppard and Obi Toppin could see a bump in minutes.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Back in starting lineup Monday

Walker is in Indiana's starting lineup against Minnesota on Monday, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports. Walker has been a healthy scratch for the Pacers' last three games, but the 2023 first-round pick will make his third start of the season Monday due to the absences of Myles Turner (hip), Pascal Siakam (personal) and Aaron Nesmith (ankle). Walker's last start was March 6 against the Hawks, and he finished that game with eight points, seven rebounds, one assist and one block over 25 minutes.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Returning to bench Saturday

Walker is not in the Pacers' starting lineup against the Hawks on Saturday, Tony East of WTHR Channel 13 Indianapolis reports. Walker made his second start of the season Thursday against the Hawks and finished with eight points, seven rebounds, one assist and one block over 25 minutes. Even with Tyrese Haliburton (hip) missing a second straight game, Walker will come off the bench Saturday while Ben Sheppard enters the Pacers' starting five.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Getting chance to start

Walker is starting Thursday's game against the Hawks. Walker is set to make his second start of the season after being recalled from the G League on Monday. He'll presumably be in line for a healthy workload with Bennedict Mathurin on the mend from a sprained left wrist.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Cleared from injury report

Walker (back) is not listed on the injury report for Thursday's game against the Grizzlies. Walker missed Indiana's final game before the All-Star break with a back injury, but he's been cleared to return Thursday. The 2023 first-rounder should return to a reserve role against Memphis, but he's struggled to the tune of 3.3 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 12.2 minutes per game through his last eight outings.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Iffy against Washington

Walker (back) has been listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Wizards, Tony East of WTHR Channel 13 Indianapolis reports. Despite being healthy, Walker hasn't played in two of the last six games for the Pacers and might be trending toward missing the team's final game before the NBA All-Star break with back soreness. The 21-year-old forward hasn't played much this season at 16.6 minutes per contest but has put up career-high numbers across the board for Indiana with 6.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game, shooting a career-best 45.8 percent from the floor.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Leads Indiana's bench in loss

Walker notched 11 points (4-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block over 18 minutes during Tuesday's 127-117 loss to the Cavaliers. Walker led the Pacers' bench in scoring, but he couldn't find his rhythm from beyond the arc in the loss. Despite struggles from three-point range Tuesday, the 21-year-old is still on pace to shoot 40.2 percent from downtown on 2.6 attempts per contest. The second-year pro has received fairly inconsistent playing time this season, though he has provided a valuable spark off the bench, averaging career-high numbers across the board.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Scores in double figures

Walker finished Tuesday's 120-112 loss to the Bucks with 11 points (3-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound, one assist, one block and three steals across 16 minutes. For the first time in his career, Walker has scored in double figures in four straight games. During that stretch, Walker has averaged 12.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.8 three-pointers in 21.1 minutes. He clearly has upside, but the minutes aren't where his fantasy managers would like for them to be.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Hands out season-high five assists

Walker finished Friday's 142-105 loss to the Celtics with 15 points (5-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT), five assists and two steals over 28 minutes. Walker's 15 points and season-high five assists offered the Pacers a lift off the bench in Friday's blowout defeat, with the former figure falling just two points short of the forward's season-high 17 points that were posted back during a Nov. 6 win over Orlando. Walker has seen minutes in the 20s in only seven of his last 13 appearances, a period in which he's averaging 7.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.1 three-pointers in 19.0 minutes. The 21-year-old former No. 8 overall pick has yet to carve out a consistent role off Indiana's bench during his second season, but Walker does present a short-term boost in fantasy value while Obi Toppin's (ankle) status remains up in the air for Sunday's meeting with Boston.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Showcases quick hands

Walker provided 10 points (3-5 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, four assists and five steals across 31 minutes during Friday's 130-106 loss to Detroit. Walker was one of two Pacer bench players to score in double figures, but his largest contribution took place on the defensive end. He accounted for five of his team's nine steals after failing to record a steal in his previous two games entering the day. This was a solid all-around showing for the Houston product, who was averaging 4.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists over his last seven games prior to Friday's outburst.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Non-factor in win Wednesday

Walker posted two points (1-1 FG, 0-1 FT) across 10 minutes during Wednesday's 121-114 win over Portland. Walker failed to score in just 10 minutes, continuing his recent poor play. After moving into the starting lineup almost two weeks ago, Walker's role has regressed over the past four games. In that time, he has averaged 3.3 points and 3.3 rebounds in 18.0 minutes per game. At this point, it appears the Pacers are comfortable getting the ball out of his hands.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Iffy for Friday

Walker is questionable for Friday's game against the Bucks due to an illness. The Pacers are depleted in terms of their wing depth, and the potential absence of Walker doesn't help the team's cause. Andrew Nembhard (knee) and Aaron Nesmith (ankle) are out, while Ben Sheppard (oblique) is questionable as well. Quenton Jackson would be in line to start if both Walker and Sheppard are sidelined.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Slides back to bench

Walker won't start Wednesday's game against the Rockets, Lachard Binkley of TheDreamShake.com reports. Walker is available off the bench for Wednesday's tilt, moving out of the first unit after making his first career start Monday at Toronto. He logged six points, four rebounds two assists and a steal across 25 minutes during the start. Quenton Jackson takes Walker's place in the first unit.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Best outing of season off bench

Walker chipped in 17 points (7-7 FG, 3-3 3Pt), six rebounds, one block and two steals over 23 minutes during Wednesday's 118-111 victory over the Magic. Walker provided a big spark off Indiana's bench in a winning effort, putting forth his best outing of the young season while leading all bench players in Wednesday's contest in scoring and rebounds. Walker set season-high marks in both scoring and rebounds, and he has reached double figures in scoring in two outings this year. Walker has hauled in at least five boards in two straight contests off the bench.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Not starting vs. Charlotte

Walker is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's preseason matchup against the Hornets. Walker got the start against the Grizzlies on Monday, when he posted 15 points, six rebounds and four assists, but he'll retreat to the bench here in favor of Pascal Siakam. As good as Walker has looked in the preseason, he'll open the campaign as one of Siakam's backups at power forward along with Obi Toppin.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Moves into starting lineup

Walker will start Monday's preseason game against the Grizzlies. With Pascal Siakam (rest) and Aaron Nesmith (ankle) unavailable, Walker and Obi Toppin enter the starting lineup. Walker posted 12 points (3-3 FG) and four rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench during last Thursday's win over the Cavaliers.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Perfect from field Thursday

Walker notched 12 points (3-3 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds and an assist across 18 minutes off the bench in Thursday's 129-117 preseason win over the Cavaliers. Walker was one of several solid contributors off the bench for the Pacers in this game, as no starter played more than 18 minutes. Walker is competing for a bench role as a frontcourt option, and this outing might have assured him some extra looks in the upcoming preseason games. Walker made 33 regular-season appearances off the bench as a rookie in 2023-24, averaging 3.6 points and 1.9 rebounds across 10.3 minutes per game.

  • Pacers' Jarace Walker: Posts diverse line in win

Walker notched eight points (3-3 FG, 2-2 3Pt), seven assists, four rebounds and one steal across 29 minutes in Monday's 133-116 victory over the Clippers. Walker had been left out of the rotation in both of the Pacers' last two games, but with Aaron Nesmith (knee) sitting out Monday, Indiana was able to open up some major minutes on the second unit for the rookie. Head coach Rick Carlisle likely didn't plan going into the night to give Walker such a sizable role, but the 20-year-old earned his minutes by capitalizing on his open looks and collapsing the defense as a facilitator. Nesmith could be back in action for Wednesday's game at Chicago to bring the Pacers back to full strength, but Walker might have shown enough Monday to get minutes at the expense of Obi Toppin, Jalen Smith or Doug McDermott.
