Morant (calf) won't play Thursday against Orlando.
Morant, who has been subject of trade rumors over the past week, will miss his straight game Thursday while he continues to tend to a right calf contusion. The point guard has seems to be nearing a return to the court, however, as head coach Tuomas Iisalo said that Morant practiced Tuesday, per Joe Vardon of The Athletic. With Morant having made the trip with the Grizzlies to Europe, he could be an option to return to action in the team's rematch with the Magic on Sunday in London.

Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Could be moved ahead of deadline
Rotowire
The Grizzlies are entertaining offers to potentially move Morant (calf) ahead of the Feb. 5 trade deadline, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Rumors of a potential Morant trade have been percolating for a while, and his history of injuries and off-court missteps coupled with Memphis' poor start to the season have all increased the likelihood of the point guard being moved. Charania notes that multiple teams are already pursuing Morant in trade talks, and the Grizzlies are said to be prioritizing draft picks and young players in return. Morant is under contract through the 2027-28 season, however, and the Grizzlies are open to keeping him if the right deal doesn't surface. Morant will miss his fourth straight game Friday against the Thunder due to a right calf contusion, but it's unclear if the Grizzlies will opt to hold him out for an extended period even if trade talks intensify.

Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Questionable for Wednesday
Rotowire
Morant (calf) is questionable for Wednesday's game versus Phoenix.
With Wednesday's game coming as the second leg of a back-to-back, the Grizzlies won't host a shootaround, so Morant will essentially be a game-time call. If he's forced to sit out his third consecutive game, Cam Spencer, Vince Williams and Javon Small will help pick up the slack.

Rotowire
Morant tallied 40 points (16-22 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 8-10 FT), three assists, two rebounds and two steals over 34 minutes during the Grizzlies' 139-136 overtime loss to the 76ers on Tuesday.

Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Posts double-double in return
Rotowire
Morant recorded 17 points (6-11 FG, 5-6 FT), four rebounds, 10 assists and one steal across 25 minutes during Friday's 125-104 victory over the Bucks.
Morant was cleared to play closer to tipoff, and as head coach Tuomas Iisalo announced before the game, his minutes were monitored, as he logged only 25. Fortunately for the Grizzlies, the team secured an easy 19-point win, and fantasy managers who continue to trust Morant should be happy as well as he recorded a double-double despite the playing time restriction. It's unclear if Morant will have a minutes restriction going forward, but it'll be difficult to keep him on the bench for too long if he plays like he did Friday. This was his fifth double-double on the campaign.
