Cavaliers' Chuma Okeke: Inks pact with Cleveland
The Cavaliers signed Okeke to a two-year contract Thursday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Okeke will fill Cleveland's final roster spot after signing two 10-day contracts with the 76ers this season. The 26-year-old forward made seven appearances (three starts) with the Sixers, averaging 6.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists across 24.4 minutes per contest. However, Okeke is unlikely to carve out a significant role in Cleveland's rotation unless injuries arise.

Chuma Okeke: Headed to Westchester
The G League's Westchester Knicks acquired Okeke on Wednesday.
Okeke signed a second 10-day contract with the 76ers on March 16 and started in Philadelphia's last three games. His contract expired Tuesday, and with the 76ers opting not to sign Okeke to a rest-of-season contract, he will finish the G League regular season in Westchester.

76ers' Chuma Okeke: Makes third straight start
Okeke logged 12 points (4-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), nine rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block across 33 minutes in Monday's 112-99 loss to the Pelicans.
After signing his second 10-day deal with the 76ers on March 16, Okeke appeared in each of the team's ensuing six contests and started in the last three. He's averaged 8.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.7 three-pointers and 0.8 steals in 28.2 minutes per contest while shooting 54.5 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from three-point range during that span, but it's unclear if he'll stick around with Philadelphia moving forward. His second 10-day contract expired Tuesday, so Okeke will need to be re-signed to a rest-of-season deal in order to be available for the team's next game Wednesday versus the Wizards.

76ers' Chuma Okeke: Will start vs. San Antonio
Okeke will be in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Spurs.
Okeke will be a starter for the 76ers for the first time this season Friday in San Antonio. The 26-year-old big man has played in four games during the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 5.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game while shooting 66.7 percent from the floor.

76ers' Chuma Okeke: Double-doubles in loss
Okeke posted 14 points (5-6 FG, 4-5 3Pt), 15 rebounds, two assists and one block across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 133-100 loss to the Thunder.
Okeke produced easily his best performance of the season, recording a double-double in just his fourth game played. After having signed his second 10-day deal with the 76ers only days earlier, Okeke saw an uptick in both playing time and production, making the most of the fact that Philadelphia has thrown in the towel this season. Moving forward, it's hard to know what their rotation will look like and whether it will feature Okeke.

76ers' Chuma Okeke: Receives 10-day deal
Okeke agreed to a 10-day contract with the 76ers on Saturday, NBA reporter Marc Stein reports.
Okeke previously signed a 10-day deal with the 76ers in February, making just one two-minute appearance before being waived shortly before the All-Star break. With Philadelphia dealing with a plethora of injuries at the moment, Okeke finds himself back on the roster and could find himself in the rotation as soon as Sunday in Dallas.

Chuma Okeke: Let go by Philadelphia
The 76ers waived Okeke from his 10-day contract Thursday, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.
The Sixers will waive the 26-year-old after converting Jared Butler's two-way contract into a standard deal. Okeke appeared in only one contest during his 10-day contract, recording one rebound across two minutes in a loss to Detroit on Feb. 7. Okeke averaged 16.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.5 blocks across 36.7 minutes per contest in 33 outings with the G League's Westchester Knicks before latching on with Philadelphia. It wouldn't be surprising to see the Auburn product return to the G League during the 2024-25 campaign.

Okeke agreed to a 10-day contract with the 76ers on Thursday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
Okeke spent four years with the Magic for a total of 189 appearances. He's since been playing for the Westchester Knicks in the G League. The 76ers have a number of injuries right now, so Okeke could provide the team with some emergency depth up front.

Chuma Okeke: Let go by Knicks

Chuma Okeke: Let go by Knicks
The Knicks have waived Okeke on Saturday, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.
The Knicks have been active over the last few days when it comes to trimming their roster down, and outside of parting ways with several players in the trade that saw them acquire Karl-Anthony Towns, they've now waived both Okeke and Marcus Morris. Okeke could pursue an opportunity with another franchise, but if not, he could suit up for the Westchester Knicks in the G League.

Okeke averaged 2.3 points and 1.7 rebounds in 9.2 minutes across 47 regular-season appearances, including eight starts, for the Magic in 2023-24. Now, the 25-year-old forward will have the opportunity to compete for depth minutes in New York's rotation.

Chuma Okeke: To become free agent
The Magic did not extend a qualifying offer to Okeke on Saturday, making him an unrestricted free agent, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
This move is a hardly a surprise, as Okeke failed to make the rotation on a consistent basis in 2023-24. The forward made just 47 appearances for the Magic, averaging 2.3 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.5 three-pointers in 9.2 minutes.

Magic's Chuma Okeke: Sticks in rotation, barely
Okeke recorded two points (1-1 FG) and one rebound across two minutes during Tuesday's 118-106 loss to Houston.
Okeke logged two minutes in the loss, taking to the floor for the second straight game. It's been a rough season for Okeke, playing just 45 games, during which he has averaged 9.4 minutes per contest. On a Magic team with lofty expectations, it's hard to see him carving out a meaningful role at any point in the future.

Magic's Chuma Okeke: Back to bench
Okeke won't start Sunday's game against the Heat, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Markelle Fultz, Franz Wagner and Wendell Carter are all returning to the starting lineup, so Okeke, Caleb Houstan and Goga Bitadze will head to the bench, ending a string of eight straight starts for Okeke. As a starter, Okeke averaged 7.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals-plus-blocks in 27.3 minutes per game, but he figures to see a reduced workload as a reserve.

Magic's Chuma Okeke: Will remain in starting lineup
Okeke will start Monday's game against the Knicks.
A previous report had Anthony Black replacing Okeke in the starting lineup, but Orlando will stick with the same first five for a fifth straight game, meaning Jalen Suggs, Caleb Houstan, Paolo Banchero and Goga Bitadze will start alongside Okeke. As a starter (five games), Okeke has averaged 6.0 points 6.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 28.4 minutes per game.
