  • Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Struggles in loss to Denver

Holmgren recorded eight points (3-11 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 29 minutes during Monday's 140-127 loss to Denver. Holmgren couldn't get going in the second leg against the Nuggets, connecting on only three of his 11 field-goal attempts and missing all five attempts from beyond the arc Monday. In his last 10 games for the Thunder, the second-year big man averaged 12.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game, shooting 47 percent from the floor and 29.4 percent from deep.

  • Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Not on injury report

Holmgren is not on the injury report for Monday's game against the Nuggets. For the first time since Nov. 1 and Nov. 2 of 2024, Holmgren appears set to feature in both games of a back-to-back set. Holmgren played 26 minutes against Denver on Monday, posting 14 points, eight rebounds, one assist and four blocks.

  • Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Will play Sunday

Holmgren has been cleared to play in Sunday's game against the Nuggets. Holmgren will return to the floor for the Thunder on Sunday after missing the last two games. The second-year big man continues to fill up the stat sheet on a nightly basis for Oklahoma City when healthy, averaging 15.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 2.7 blocks per game while shooting 49.5 percent from the floor and 35.9 percent from deep.

  • Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Iffy for Friday

Holmgren (lower leg) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Trail Blazers. After missing Wednesday's win over the Grizzlies with a right lower leg contusion, Holmgren might be able to return to the floor Friday. The 22-year-old big man has played in only 18 games for the Thunder this season, averaging 15.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.7 blocks, 1.9 assists and 1.3 three-pointers in 26.3 minutes per contest.

  • Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Available to play

Holmgren (ankle) is available for Monday's game against Houston. After missing Sunday's game against the Spurs, Holmgren has the green light to suit up for the second leg of this back-to-back set. Through 17 games this season, Holmgren is averaging 15.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 2.7 blocks.

  • Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Not playing Sunday

Holmgren (ankle) is out for Sunday's game against the Spurs. Holmgren exited Friday's win over the Hawks after notching seven points, four rebounds and three assists across 15 minutes, and the big man simply couldn't play through an ankle injury that was bothering him before the contest. It's unclear if Holmgren will have to endure a spell on the sidelines, but his next chance to play will come Monday against the Rockets in the second leg of a back-to-back set.

  • Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Green light to play Friday

Holmgren (calf) is available for Friday's game against the Hawks, Nick Gallo of the Thunder's official site reports. Holmgren popped up on the injury report due to a right calf contusion, but it doesn't appear to be severe enough for him to be sidelined Friday. He has averaged 14.7 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 3.3 blocks and 1.2 steals over 27.5 minutes per game in his six outings since returning from a right hip fracture.

Holmgren (rest) will be available for Wednesday's game against Brooklyn. Holmgren was held out for rest Monday against the Timberwolves, but he'll be back in the lineup alongside Isaiah Hartenstein (face). • Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Drops 20 on Utah in win

Holmgren posted 20 points (7-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and three blocks across 28 minutes during Friday's 130-107 win over Utah. It was Holmgren's best scoring effort since Nov. 8. Coming out of the All-Star break, he appears fully back up to game speed after missing nearly three months due to a hip injury. It's not clear whether Holmgren will be allowed to play in back-to-back contests yet, so he could get rested for one end of the Thunder's home-and-home set against the Timberwolves on Sunday and Monday.

  • Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Resting Wednesday

Holmgren (rest) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Heat, Rylan Stiles of FanSided.com reports. Holmgren has played in two of the Thunder's last three games after returning from a right iliac wing fracture. He'll continue to rest on occasion and operate on a minutes restriction when he is on the floor, and his next chance to suit up will be Thursday against the Timberwolves. Aaron Wiggins, Luguentz Dort and Isaiah Joe are all candidates to enter the Thunder's starting lineup Wednesday due to Holmgren's absence.

  • Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Blocks five shots in win

Holmgren contributed 12 points (4-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, five blocks and one steal across 25 minutes during Monday's 137-101 victory over New Orleans. Holmgren is starting to get back to form as one of the Thunder's best all-around players, as he recorded five blocks in Monday's blowout win against the Pelicans. Despite playing only 25 minutes in the win over New Orleans, the 22-year-old big man made his presence known defensively while showing he might be coming around offensively, scoring 12 points, which is three points shy of what he averaged last season (15.0).

  • Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Not on injury report for Monday

Holmgren (rest) is off the injury report for Monday's game against New Orleans. Holmgren sat out of Saturday's win over Memphis after returning from a 39-game absence due to a right iliac wing fracture in Wednesday's win over Toronto. The big man played 22 minutes during his return, and he'll likely continue to operate under a similar minutes restriction Monday.

  • Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Not playing Saturday vs. Memphis

Holmgren (rest) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies, Rylan Stiles of FanSided.com reports. Holmgren, who had been out of action since Nov. 10 due to a right iliac wing fracture, made his return Friday against the Raptors and finished with four points, five rebounds, four blocks and two steals over 22 minutes. He'll continue to have his minutes restricted while working his way back from his injury, and his next opportunity to play will be Monday against the Pelicans. Jaylin Williams and Isaiah Joe are candidates to enter the starting lineup due to Holmgren's absence.

  • Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Makes impact in limited court time

Holmgren (hip) tallied four points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), five rebounds, four blocks, two steals and one assist across 22 minutes in Friday's 121-109 win over the Raptors. After sustaining a right iliac wing fracture Nov. 10, Holmgren was generally expected to be sidelined through the All-Star break, but he made his surprise return to the action Friday, joining Isaiah Hartenstein as a starter in the frontcourt. Though he was operating under a minutes limit in his first game in three months, Holmgren made an immediate impact with his length on the defensive end. He recorded six defensive counters during his time on the floor while holding opposing Raptors to 1-for-8 shooting in the paint as a contesting defender, per Second Spectrum. Holmgren should see his minutes steadily ramp up in the games to come, though the Thunder could opt to hold him out of action entirely for maintenance purposes Saturday versus the Grizzlies on the second leg of a back-to-back set.

  • Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Left off injury report

Holmgren (hip) isn't on the injury report for Friday's game versus the Raptors, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Holmgren hasn't played since Nov. 10 due to a fractured right hip. However, considering the 22-year-old big man was expected to be re-evaluated in 3-5 weeks from mid-January, a return to action Friday can be seen as the best-case scenario. While Holmgren will likely operate under a minutes restriction as he works his way fully back to game shape, he should start in the Thunder's frontcourt alongside Isaiah Hartenstein.

  • Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Beginning to ramp up

Holmgren (hip) joined the Thunder for their four-game road trip that began Wednesday and is beginning to increase his physical activity, Joel Lorenzi of The Oklahoman reports. Prior to Wednesday's 129-122 loss to the Cavaliers, Holmgren was seen going through some movement drills on the court during the Thunder's shootaround that day. The activity came just over a week after Holmgren was cleared to ditch the crutches he had been using to get around since suffering a right iliac wing fracture Nov. 10. Now two months removed from the injury, Holmgren is within the 8-to-10-week period the Thunder had previously cited as the point that the team would provide an update on his return-to-play protocol. Oklahoma City is thus expected to update Holmgren's status soon, though since he's not yet practicing, he's probably at least a couple weeks away from being ready for game action.

  • Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Won't return Sunday

Holmgren (hip) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Warriors, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports. Holmgren was helped to the locker room in the first quarter after landing on his right hip while attempting a block on Andrew Wiggins. Given the hard fall, it wouldn't be surprising if Holmgren is held out Monday against the Clippers. Isaiah Joe was inserted into the Thunder's starting five in the second half in Holmgren's absence.

  • Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Posts 29 points in win

Holmgren totaled 29 points (8-14 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 9-10 FT), five rebounds, one assist and three blocks in 29 minutes during Friday's 126-107 victory over Houston. The Thunder have struggled a bit offensively, but when Holmgrean and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander are dialed in at he same time, an excellent team result usually follows. Holmgren has registered double-digit rebounds four times this season, and his five-rebound result Friday was a bit of an outlier. Despite Friday's low number, Holmgren is a nightly double-double threat who will also add his share of blocked shots.
