Knicks' Tyler Kolek: Back from G League
New York recalled Kolek from the G League's Westchester Knicks on Wednesday.
Kolek will rejoin New York ahead of Wednesday's game against the Hawks. He suited up for Westchester earlier in the day in its 118-107 win over the College Park Skyhawks, finishing with 18 points (7-20 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, eight assists, two steals and one block.

Knicks' Tyler Kolek: Practices with G League squad
New York recalled Kolek from the G League's Westchester Knicks on Monday.
Westchester didn't have a game Monday, so Kolek, Precious Achiuwa and Ariel Hukporti joined the G League squad for practice and were recalled afterward. With Miles McBride and Cameron Payne healthy again, Kolek's path to playing time at the NBA level is crowded.

Knicks' Tyler Kolek: Not on injury report
Kolek (illness) isn't listed on the injury report for Friday's game against the Hornets.
Kolek was sidelined for Wednesday's loss to Dallas due to an illness, but he should be able to suit up Friday. However, with Cameron Payne and Miles McBride both healthy and available, Kolek may not be part of the regular rotation versus Charlotte.

Knicks' Tyler Kolek: Out Wednesday
Kolek (illness) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks, Stefan Bondy of The New York Post reports.
Kolek has been downgraded from questionable to out. With Miles McBride and Cameron Payne healthy and available, Kolek's absence shouldn't impact New York's rotation.

Knicks' Tyler Kolek: Dealing with illness
Kolek is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks due to an illness.
With Miles McBride (knee/illness) back in the rotation after a five-game absence, Kolek played only two minutes during Monday's win over Denver, his fewest since Nov. 10. If he can't play Wednesday, McBride and Cameron Payne would be candidates for a couple of extra minutes against Dallas.

Knicks' Tyler Kolek: Career-high 16 minutes
Kolek registered eight points (3-5 FG, 2-4 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and one steal over 16 minutes during Friday's 116-94 win over Milwaukee.
With Cameron Payne (hamstring) sidelined, Kolek played double-digit minutes for the first time in his career. When everyone is healthy, he's on the outskirts of the rotation, but Kolek could push Payne for playing time if the rookie can string together a few strong performances off the bench.

Knicks' Tyler Kolek: Decent output in preseason finale
Kolek had 13 points (3-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), a rebound and two assists across 17 minutes off the bench in Friday's 118-117 preseason loss to the Wizards.
Kolek led all the bench players in scoring and delivered a solid performance Friday, but that's not expected to change his role in the rotation. Miles McBride (rest) and Cameron Payne are ahead of him on the depth chart, meaning Kolek will probably see minimal minutes if he stays with the Knicks once the regular season begins. Starting the year with the Westchester Knicks in the G League isn't out of the question, either.

Knicks' Tyler Kolek: Fills up box score vs. Charlotte
Kolek logged seven points (2-9 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine assists and eight rebounds across 24 minutes in Tuesday's 111-105 preseason win over the Hornets.
Kolek saw more playing time Tuesday as Jalen Brunson and the rest of the Knicks' starters rested. Kolek didn't shoot particularly well from the floor, but he managed to lead the Knicks in assists and was third in rebounding behind Precious Achiuwa (16) and Jericho Sims (10). Kolek, the Knicks' rookie second-round pick, will likely see limited playing time as he serves as the third point guard on the depth chart behind Brunson and Cameron Payne.

Knicks' Tyler Kolek: Pops for 15 points Wednesday
Kolek compiled 15 points (6-10 FG, 1-4 3PT, 2-2 FT), five assists, two rebounds and two steals in 17 minutes during Wednesday's 117-94 win over the Wizards.
Kolek continues to push his claim for regular-season minutes, putting together another strong performance. Taken at pick No. 34 in the 2024 NBA Draft, Kolek will have to earn his spot in the rotation, and he is competing with Cameron Payne for backup point guard minutes behind Jalen Brunson. Despite being undersized, Kolek has an intriguing offensive skill set, something that could at least put him in the discussion for playing time on Opening Night.

Kolek produced 21 points (6-14 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 6-7 FT), eight assists, four rebounds and two steals across 32 minutes of Wednesday's 106-105 Summer League win over the Kings.
Selected with the No. 34 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Kolek made quite the impression Wednesday after struggling with his shooting in his previous two outings. Through three total appearances in the Summer League, Kolek has produced averages of 11.3 points, 7.3 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.6 three-pointers.

Knicks' Tyler Kolek: Drafted at No. 34 by New York
Kolek was selected by the Knicks with the No. 34 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, with the Knicks sending the Trail Blazers future second-round picks to make the selection, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
The point guard out of Marquette will be fighting for backup minutes behind Jalen Brunson. At 6-foot-1, defense is Kolek's weak point. However, the Second Team All-American has a diverse offensive skillset, able to score and pass in a variety of ways, including around the basket and from three.
