Simpson made seven appearances for the shorthanded Grizzlies to end the 2023-24 regular season. Over his final five outings with Memphis, Simpson averaged 8.0 points, 3.6 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 0.9 steals in 24.0 minutes per game. The Michigan product will now continue his career overseas.

Simpson signed a second 10-day contract with the Grizzlies on Tuesday.
Simpson will stay on the roster for the remainder of the regular season. He made three appearances for the Grizzlies over the course of his first 10-day deal, averaging 5.3 points, 3.7 assists, 2.3 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 three-pointers in 24.0 minutes per game.
