The 21-year-old popped a 365-foot homer off reliever Ryne Stanek in the ninth inning to notch his second consecutive game with a long ball. Prior to this contest, Caminero had been cold in June with a .152/.264/.391 slash line across 53 plate appearances, so perhaps this is a sign of him turning a corner. Through 281 total plate appearances, the Tampa Bay third baseman is slashing .246/.292/.500 with 45 RBI and 41 runs scored over 67 games.

Caminero put the Rays ahead for good with a 355-foot solo shot in the fourth inning and finished his big day at the plate with a three-run blast in the eighth. The talented young third baseman has been on quite a roll to end the month, racking up four home runs and 13 RBI while going 9-for-18 over his past four games. Caminero now has 13 long balls, 37 RBI, 30 runs and three stolen bases while slashing .265/.291/.512 over 223 plate appearances on the campaign.

The six RBI were a career high for Caminero, who homered in his second straight game and appears to be heating up at the plate recently. It was the slugging third baseman's first multi-RBI effort since April 17. Caminero also has just one multi-hit effort in his last 15 outings, but he has consistently occupied a premium spot in Tampa Bay's batting order.
