Brewers' Aaron Civale: Goes just 4.1 innings in loss
Civale (7-9) took the loss against Arizona on Saturday, allowing three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out two batters over 4.1 innings.
Civale struggled with his control in the outing, throwing just 51 of 91 pitches for strikes and issuing three free passes. He also got dinged for a pair of home runs, which accounted for all three runs against him. It was the first time the right-hander has given up multiple homers in a game since July 21, and Saturday's outing was the first time he has failed to complete five frames since Aug. 23. Brewers' Aaron Civale: Does enough for sixth win
Civale (6-8) got the win over the Giants on Tuesday, allowing two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out two over 5.1 innings.
Civale was given an early 2-0 lead before he took the mound. He gave up a run of his own in the bottom of the first but then went on to retire 13 of the next 14 batters he faced before Mike Yastrzemski opened up the sixth inning with a solo home run. Civale was pulled after just 68 pitches, but the Brewers were able to hang on to get him his fourth win in his last six starts. He's now 4-2 with a 3.84 ERA in 11 starts for Milwaukee compared to 2-6 with a 5.07 ERA in 17 starts for the Rays. For the year, Civale owns a 4.57 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 136:47 K:BB in 145.2 innings and lines up for a tough road matchup against the Diamondbacks this weekend.

Brewers' Aaron Civale: Fans seven in no-decision
Civale did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 7-4 loss to St. Louis, allowing three runs on six hits and no walks over five innings. He struck out seven.
After going 3-1 with a 3.29 ERA in 27.1 August innings, the 27-year-old looked to be in trouble out the gate in this appearance, allowing two first-inning runs. However, Civale settled in and tossed two scoreless innings before being tagged by Paul Goldschmidt for a solo homer in the fourth. The right-hander wound up posting his fifth walk-less outing of the season, as he's now pitched to a 3.62 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 29:10 K:BB across 32.1 innings since joining Milwaukee on July 3. Civale is expected to make his next start against the Giants in San Francisco next week.
