  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Dealing with minor physical issue

Red Sox manager Alex Cora confirmed Monday that Devers is dealing with a minor physical issue, Chris Henrique of the Boston Sports Journal reports.

Speculation that Devers might be injured arose when he didn't run out a grounder during Sunday's game against the Yankees. Cora didn't want to divulge exactly what Devers is dealing with, but he noted that it's "nothing major" and is something Devers will continue to play through. Devers has a .958 OPS with two home runs and a 7:8 K:BB over eight games so far in June.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Homers in loss

Devers went 1-for-4 with a walk, a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 9-6 loss to the Yankees.

Devers brought the Red Sox a bit closer with a two-run shot in the seventh inning, but that's where an attempted comeback from an early 7-0 deficit ended. For Devers, the homer was his first in 13 games and extended a hit streak to five games. He was one of the hottest hitters in MLB for much of May, but the designated hitter entered Friday's contest with a .195 average (8-for-41) over the previous 11 games. Devers has 13 home runs and 56 RBI through 65 games this season.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Continues to rack up RBI in May

Devers went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a walk in Friday's 5-1 win over Atlanta.

Devers posted a pair of RBI for the second game in a row, and he's now up to 11 multi-hit efforts in May. Over 100 at-bats this month, the 28-year-old designated hitter is batting .370 with seven homers, five doubles and a whopping 33 RBI. Devers also has 22 walks in May, and he's thriving as Boston's full-time DH this season.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Career-high eight RBI in rout

Devers went 4-for-6 with two home runs, three runs scored and eight RBI in the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the Orioles.

The eight RBI were a career high for the 28-year-old, as Devers took Gregory Soto deep for a three-run blast in the sixth inning before punctuating a massive 13-run eighth by the Red Sox with a grand slam off position player Emmanuel Rivera. The huge performance sent Devers soaring into the major-league lead with 47 RBI, three ahead of Aaron Judge, and the Boston slugger sports a .299/.415/.557 slash line through 52 games with 12 homers and 34 runs.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Goes deep in win

Devers went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Mets.

Devers laced one of two solo home runs off Clay Holmes in the fifth inning, giving Boston all it needed. For Devers, it was his third home run in the last four games, and the DH has been on a heater since late April. He's batting .391 (34-for-87) with seven doubles, eight homers, 25 RBI, 16 runs and one steal over 23 games. Devers has managed to not let the drama that engulfed him last week -- when he refused to play first base -- affect his bat.
