  • Julio Urias: Suspended through All-Star break

Urias has been suspended through the conclusion of the All-Star break by Major League Baseball for his second violation of the league's domestic violence policy, Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.com reports.

The suspension is a result of an incident that occurred in September of 2023. Urias previously served a 20-game ban in August of 2019 for a separate incident. He is the first player ever to be suspended twice under the league's domestic violence policy. Urias -- who hasn't pitched anywhere since 2023 -- will be eligible to sign with a team after completing his suspension.

  • Julio Urias: Enters no contest plea

Urias pleaded no contest Wednesday to a misdemeanor domestic battery charge related to his Sept. 3 arrest in Los Angeles on suspicion of domestic violence, Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.com reports.

As a result of the no contest plea, Urias had his four other misdemeanor charges stemming from the arrest dismissed. He was placed on 36 months of summary probation and ordered to complete 30 days of community labor, as well as a year-long domestic violence counseling course. Additionally, the 27-year-old left-hander must pay a domestic violence fund fee, not possess any weapons, not use any force or violence, pay restitution to the victim and abide by a protective order. Currently a free agent after his contract with the Dodgers expired following the 2023 season, Urias isn't yet facing discipline from Major League Baseball, though the league launched its own investigation into the Sept. 3 arrest that could be completed soon now that a resolution to Urias' legal situation has been reached. Urias has previously served a suspension related to MLB's domestic violence policy, as he was handed a 20-game ban in August 2019 for an incident that occurred earlier that year.

  • Julio Urias: Facing five misdemeanor charges

Urias was charged with five misdemeanors by the Los Angeles City Attorney's office Tuesday, in connection to his September arrest on suspicion of domestic violence, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Prosecutors declined to seek felony charges for Urias back in January, but he's now facing the misdemeanor counts, which include two counts of domestic battery, one count of spousal battery, one count of false imprisonment and one count of assault. The 27-year-old was suspended 20 games in 2019 for violating MLB's domestic violence policy, so a lengthier ban will likely be in store if he's able to latch on with a new organization.

  • Julio Urias: Won't face felony charges

Prosecutors in Los Angeles have declined to file felony charges against Urias in connection with a September arrest on suspicion of domestic violence, the Orange County Register reports.

Urias could still face misdemeanor charges after the case was referred to the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office. The 27-year-old was arrested in early September outside BMO Stadium in Exposition Park following an alleged incident with his wife. Urias was placed on administrative leave by Major League Baseball days after his arrest and missed the remainder of the season. He is a repeat offender, having been suspended for 20 games in 2019 under MLB's domestic violence policy. Urias is a free agent and is likely facing another lengthy suspension when/if he signs with a new organization.

  • Dodgers' Julio Urias: Placed on administrative leave

Major League Baseball placed Urias on administrative leave Wednesday following his arrest Sunday on suspicion of felony domestic violence, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Urias previously received a 20-game suspension in 2019 under MLB's domestic violence policy and could be facing a longer ban in the wake of his arrest. An impending free agent, the 27-year-old has likely already made his final appearance in a Dodgers uniform regardless of where MLB's investigation into the incident ultimately leads. Urias is set to appear in court in Los Angeles on Sept. 27.

  • Dodgers' Julio Urias: Headed for administrative leave

The Dodgers are expected to place Urias on administrative leave while MLB investigates his felony domestic violence arrest from Sunday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

As Plunkett notes, Urias, who is a free agent after the season, isn't traveling with the Dodgers on their six-game road trip this week and may have pitched his last game for the team. He served a 20-game suspension for his involvement in a domestic violence case that occurred in 2019 and will likely be receiving a longer suspension this time around.

  • Dodgers' Julio Urias: Charged with domestic violence

Urias was arrested and charged with felony domestic violence late Sunday night, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Urias was booked late Sunday and released early this morning on a $50,000 bond. The 27-year-old is a repeat offender, as he served a 20-game suspension for domestic violence back in 2019. Urias had been scheduled to start Thursday in Miami, but that could very well be pushed back indefinitely as the league investigates. The pitcher might be facing a lengthy suspension.

  • Dodgers' Julio Urias: Struggles against Atlanta

Urias (11-8) allowed five runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out four over five innings to take the loss Friday versus Atlanta.

Atlanta's sluggers were active early and often -- Travis d'Arnaud, Ronald Acuna and Marcell Ozuna each tagged Urias for solo shots. More trouble arrived in the fifth inning, and Urias was out of the game by the time the Dodgers got on the board in the eighth. The southpaw has once again hit the skids, allowing 11 runs, including six homers, over his last 11 innings. He's at a 4.60 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 117:24 K:BB through 117.1 innings across 21 starts this season. Urias is lined up for a road start in Miami next week.

  • Dodgers' Julio Urias: Tagged for six runs in loss

Urias (11-7) took the loss Saturday, allowing six runs on eight hits and one walk over six innings against Boston. He struck out nine.

The 27-year-old southpaw served up three home runs Saturday, including Adam Duvall's three-run shot in the sixth inning that gave Boston a lead that would not be relinquished. Urias had been phenomenal in his previous five starts, posting a 2.03 ERA, 0.90 WHIP, and an impressive 32:4 K:BB across 31 innings during that span. However, Saturday's clunker inflated his season-long ERA to a disappointing 4.41. Urias is projected to face a tough Atlanta lineup at home next week.
